a thought after i wrote that. Nightmare attacks anyone in the dark. A perfect defense for something that thrives on not being noticed.

would be cool if the nightmare body nick saw was actually the nulls original body. It could have gotten charred while fighting the sun and it came back as a 'shadow' of its former self.
