I think it's only when remembering old connections, not when forming new ones. E.g. Rin She does not remember sunny before the bird, but has no problem remembering him after the bird. I think this is because the bird stole those connections together with any point for faith to connect to, giving him the attribute faithless. So faith cannot bind him but it doesn't stop him from pulling on others' faith. Maybe in the future he'll be able to control this, and can make anyone forget about him. Maybe that will be the ultimate form of shadow dance, where people, beasts and monsters will start to forget him during battle. And I still have "Faith" that the Sunny x Nephis ship
