I agree, it is quite expensive, but then again, it's an absolute power. Also I think it's important to remember that he mostly benefits from positive karma because of how he is, but that his system is not built for him to do that. Neutrality is a major component in karma if you're trying to control it, because you have to deal with both sides of it. I could easily have written a bad Daniel, who would have found a way to power up through the use of negative karma, like Sewah did for awhile.
