I agree with humanist society, mech designers should disappear. Battleships should be common again. For peacefull purpose of course.

It's bit far-fetched to think that a goverment (unless that was some ambitious impostor) need people primarily for subclass sake, I mean, if you want to reclaim lands and create somewhat functional society you need a lot people for different works.
Do we really need so huge monsters? I understand mountains, cities etc. but i don't think i like idea of monsters measured in kilometers.
A single Black Scale Ant might not be their opponent, but a swarm of them could fuse into a Black Scale Ant Emperor. That kind of behemoth was a few kilometers in diameter, and even the emperors dared not provoke it easily.

I think that gold here means grade of metal. You know, bronze, silver, gold, platinium.
For the other metal choice, he planned to choose a Gold metal. All the metals in this world were priced according to their weight. But there was a kind of metal that was excluded—the Day and Night Spirit Silver.

I hope that system will be back during this timeskip. It's good that Ves doesn't rely too much on system, but still it's rather interesting tool.
Months went by as the half-complete mech design started to look a lot more whole and solid. More than a year had passed since they embarked on this design project, so the mech designers wouldn't have been able to justify their work if they failed to make at least this much progress!
