that reminds me, did Aizen ever use his bankai in canon?... Because as far as I remember he only ever used his shikai and kido...just to then later discard his zanpakuto all together.
So yes. He believed he could fight Aizen now, winning against him, especially with his unknown Bankai, now that was a coin toss.

while giving them the serum can only have positive effects....I can't help but wonder if it would do as much for Ben personally when compared to everyone else. Since Ben would've canonically out lived then all anyway. because if I remember right the Thing is immortal or near-immortal when it comes to his natural lifespan.
Especially after I gave each of them a dose of the Ambrosia Serum, including Alicia which restored her lost eyesight.
