'How Boring'
This was my first thought after I stepped out of my residence. Today was supposed to be a day of celebration for me.
Eshan Thakur is my name, I am from the 'land of diversity' commonly known as India. I was pretty easygoing in life till my 9th grade, going along the flow doing bare minimum studies, and engaging in sports, Martial Arts, or outdoor activities nearly all the time. Well, it all pretty much stopped when COVID-19 spread, as you can imagine a person who used to spend nearly all his free time outside was now behind 4 great walls.
It was extremely difficult for me as besides playing sports or doing martial arts I had no other hobbies. But all this pent-up energy and anxiousness went away from the day I got to know of the existence of ANIME.
My Journey with anime started with Death Note and it showed no signs of ending, on the contrary, it diversified. I started reading manga, light novels, manhwa, and whatnot.
Yuan Zun was my first Chinese manhwa/Novel, I liked the main character quite a bit and its storyline except for some cliches was good, but I just wasn't satisfied with its ending.
Anime showed me a whole new side of the world, It deepened my interest in martial arts and many more things. I just started consuming lots and lots of it and liked indulging in the fantasy world.
Today I just turned 19, I even entered a good university and was even preparing to live in the college hostel from next week.
Just as I was strolling down the road, I got various notifications from my phone. I started sorting them out one by one, and by the end of it a park came in sight, I decided to sit down and check out the last notification.
'How Amusing'
These were my thoughts after seeing the content of the last notification, It was a random fan-filling survey from a Yuan Zun fan site. I just started filling it out for fun, despite knowing that it was in no way going to be fulfilled.
Zhou Yuan was the character I wanted to be transmigrated/reincarnated into, I wanted the ability to make any weapon my soul-bound and innate weapon, and the Highest cultivation Talent possible for the Divine soul Cultivation/Genesis Runes.
A Body refining technique that at its final stage allowed me to have the body of the ancestral dragon(the originator god), the name of the Technique being Ancestral dragon body cultivation which refined both my body and blood, essentially transforming me into a Human with Dragon Body.
I also wanted a Very high talent for Combat and a physique that was perfect for cultivating anything related to Ancestral Dragon.
I finished filling it out, got up from the bench in the park, and left for home, the day got by quickly, and just as I was ready to close my eyes for sleep a blinding light filled my vision, Followed by a sound of 'ding'.
The next thing I saw after opening my eyes was not my room's ceiling but the ceiling of an inner palace. The next thing I knew was that I started panicking, looking left-right to find out where I was.
As one can guess this yielded no results, and by the end of my search I was hit by a wave of memories and pain. I nearly stumbled down to the floor due to the sudden pain.
It took me nearly an hour or two to sort out my memories and it was then that I realised what had happened.
I got up and walked to the nearby mirror and saw my current reflection, It showed a youngster whose body was rather frail but was surrounded by a scholar's aura. The Youngster while being slim had a cute baby face and his golden eyes shone like a star twinkling in the sky. He also has attractive Black hair with a tuft of blue mixed in it.
Yes, you all guessed it right It was the face of Zhou Yuan the protagonist of YUAN ZUN before he started his cultivation journey.
???
???
My mind went black for a while and the next thing I did was touch and pinch my whole face and body.
It was only after suffering from painful stimulus did I realized that it was no dream, I had come to this world where all people are living lives of livestock waiting to be ultimately slaughtered by the Saint God.
I had transmigrated as the male protagonist of Yuan Zun / Dragon Prince Yuan, Zhou Yuan.
It was then that I started to have a breakdown. I mean can you blame me, I had spent all my life in a world that worked on law and order and the next second I was in a world where there were kingdoms, dynasties, and sects so powerful that they decided the lives of other people, a world which was ruled by people who had the bigger fist meaning your treatment is based on your background and strength.
A voice in the back of my head reminded me of the fact that I had none for now.
After moving here and there I noticed that my body was not in sync with my mind. My reactions and actions came out delayed.
After sitting down on my bed and thinking about it, I concluded that My consciousness and body were not in sync, meaning my consciousness was taking time to adjust to this body.
Let's Recap all I know about Zhou Yuan.
Zhou Yuan was originally born for glory and was a chosen one, the moment Zhou Yuan was born, a mystical sign appeared in All Heavens. Dragon Qi swirled around him, and a dragon roar shook the land. It was the sign of the Saint/Sacred Dragon. His Eight Great Meridians naturally were opened at birth, allowing him to skip the and reach the Qi Nourishing Stage. This is known as the legendary one-in-a-billion Saint/Sacred Dragon Blessing.
As the Zhou Clan's unprecedented Saint Dragon, he would have shined as brightly as the sun and moon and have the blessings of the land
However, the Saint Dragon of Zhou Clan, his Saint Dragon Blessing was stolen at birth, resulting in the disappearance of his Eight Great Meridians and the curse of Resentment Dragon Poison. The curse caused his Eight Great Meridians, which originally existed to be sealed until Cang Yuan helped him awaken them.
His cultivation Journey started at the age of 14 after he activated the teleportation formation at his ancestral grounds, from where he met his biggest humanoid plug-in or golden finger Yaoyao. The third sequence god who had yet to awaken her powers.
Cang Yuan helps him reawaken his meridians and takes him in as a disciple.
This Guy had some serious talent, he became a saint 10 years after the start of his journey.
Now I have become Zhou Yuan, THE Protagonist, and from the memories I received, it seems that after withstanding his periodic erupt of Dragon Resentment Poison at the age of 11, Zhou Yuan's soul was damaged and his consciousness weakened during which my soul came into contact with his, while his soul is not dead his consciousness is dead.
If I am right then to assimilate the dead soul into myself I will have to go through his whole set of memories and some of it might even influence my personality, while this is a disadvantage, by assimilating the dead soul I will be able to strengthen my soul.
The advantages outweigh the disadvantages, by doing so will also allow me to inherit the saint/sacred Dragon blessing which is the main basis of the whole story.
But it will take some time to assimilate with the soul and accept my new identity, good Lord I wanna kill all those bullshit fan fiction writers so much, I mean how can a person living in a civilized society suddenly and quickly accept the fact that he is now in a world where murder is a normal thing.
Anyway, I need to confirm whether the survey I filled out only transmigrated me or also fulfilled my wishes.
But even confirming it will take some time as I have not started Genesis Qi Cultivation.
According to my estimation, it might take me about full 2 years to adjust and balance my body and soul, while I might not be able to practice genesis qi cultivation, I can just practice katas of various martial arts which can help which in training both my body and mind.
I should also start practicing meditation, which will benefit me in increasing my concentration and helping me fully adapt to this world of Cultivators.
