In those days, the people did not know the sea nor the open grasslands, which the outside world had been granted from the very beginning. They were closed off; in the Sealed Lands, there were no fertile fields or temperate places where people could live comfortably; there was only the Hole.
The Hole was a gateway to the Abyss, an indescribable place of mystery where the shattered remains of civilizations floated in eternal entropy. No one knew why the Hole would open, but when it did, the land below would be hailed by toxic substances and burning fire, leaving behind ashes in its wake.
Yet, amidst the ruins of calamity, gems to the future could be found. Advanced technological mechanisms, the most desired being tools to purify water and grow food, weapons of war and self-producing energy devices.
Those who could claim these relics would survive and prosper, and those who could not be doomed. What was theirs must be protected; what was not must be taken from those who have. The entropy of the Abyss spread to the Sealed Lands, with nations rising to impossible heights only to be cut down by rivals or the Hole itself. The only constant was conflict and death.
In the far north, a nation which claimed to be eternal eventually came. Missionaries from the God of the Abyss rewarded them with great relics and mystical powers from the Hole. And with a constant eternal leader in the form of the Messenger of God, Maximus, the nation rose in power and prominence. Every time the Hole opened within their reach, they went out and claimed it as their birthright. Those who resisted were quickly dispatched.
The source of their miracles were the stigmata, special markings which Maximus gifted each citizen through the Nexus. With it, great healers and warriors of unmatched strength were brought up, and the nation's power increased. They were the people of Dogmatika, and Maximus' word was law.
Though their reach had not yet extended beyond the disparate tribes of beastmen, the nation was poised to be the greatest in the Sealed Lands' history. However, at the height of their power, the Hole would open once more. And what would be delivered was a being of calamity unlike any other.

Welcome; this a novelisation of Yugioh card lore because, as you might have noticed, Yugioh card art or archetypes tells stories; the three most famous ones are, without a doubt, Duel Terminal, World Legacy and, of course, Albaz.
The first 'Arc' of this story will, of course, focus on Albaz's story.
Also, you don't have to play Yugioh to enjoy the story, so you don't have to worry about that.
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
