Kapitel 18: Upgraded Friendships
I had a feeling that they'll be visiting, they knew that we would see that broadcast. "Hey, everyone… How are you guys feeling?" Eiji had asked as they made themselves comfortable inside the room.
"We're quite good." Vince had answered him, "We feel much better after your broadcast, thanks for that." Eiji then smiled at him.
When Eiji got a phone call, he excused himself and let Seongho chat with the couple. I also noticed Dongwu and Byumin checking on Justin. Those two had been fond of Justin and developed a bond with him, especially Byumin. I'm not sure of it but I have a feeling. He might look as young as Justin but he's actually a year older than my junior. Plus, I know, as a matter of fact, that Byumin is Bi. He may not look like it but he prefers men more over the opposite sex. I got this information unwillingly from my sister. And a look is a look.
There's also Jyuji who always checks on Elise and now comforting her since she was still sobbing. Huh, these two are getting rather so close to each other, too. Being as jolly as ever, Elise could make anyone like her and I guess, even an idol. I better watch my juniors closely, I know a 'feeling' when I see one –
"Hey there…" Kangwoo had then sat on my bedside, "How are you feeling?" He looks concerned but why is that? He's the one that caused the wound on my neck, isn't he…? I grew confused but his stare was quite intense, those piercing violet eyes glued only on me.
I cleared my throat and looked away from him, "I'm fine thank you… It still stings a bit but it's not that painful anymore…" My eyes then noticed Ebony teasingly smiling at me. Ugh, not again…
"Seems like you handle the pain quite well, that's good to hear then…" I then glanced at him, why do I feel that it means more than that? He smiled at me then he moved closer, he tucked a stray strand of my hair behind my ear then trailed his fingers down my bandaged neck, "[Don't worry, it'll heal quickly…]".
I gulped at his words, why do I have the feeling that he has something else in his mind? His stare was intense and it's making me blush, I had to look away again. But I could still feel his fingers on my neck and it was making my heart throb. I wanted it to stop because I can't really fall for him since what he wants is not me, only my blood.
Then a grunt took all our attention, "Ugh…" It was Louie regaining his consciousness. My friends along with the members went near to check on him. I did too but not before Kangwoo assisted me out of the bed. Again, a small gesture but it affects me more than anything. But the assistance didn't end there, my body still felt weak since I lost some blood so he helped me all the way to Louie's bed.
"Careful, now…" Vince had helped Louie sit up in bed as he whined.
"Aw, my head…". When he came through, he quickly grabbed Vince's arm as he exclaimed, "JEANNE! Where's Jeanne!? Is she alright…?". Vince tapped his hand and made him let go.
"She's fine, she's fine –"
"Are you sure!? She… She scratched her neck! There was blood… I tried to get to her but those damn guys ganged up on me… Where is she?"
"I'm right here, Louie.", I said with a smile on my face as he turned and saw me. He then sighed relieved but then a bit, I don't know, annoyed…? I noticed that as he briefly looked at my side, he probably saw Kangwoo beside me, obviously assisting me to stand.
"Thank goodness you're fine…" He then turned to Kangwoo, "I guess I should thank you too." I really feel some tension between these two, and I wonder why. "I'm sorry I couldn't get to you in time, Jeanne.".
"It's fine, Louie. It was two against one, you couldn't possibly get to me."
"I would if I could…" Louie had said it with determination, it was the first time he stared at me that intently.
It made me a bit shy and looked elsewhere, "T – Thanks… I guess…" I could feel Kangwoo's hold on me tighten. I glanced up and he had this serious look at Louie, huh, what's up with these two anyway? I'm so confused.
"How about Justin? Where is he?" Louie asked as he turned back to Vince.
"He's on the opposite bed…" Louie looked as Vince added, "The doctor sedated him for the day, he needs a lot of rest.".
Louie then gritted his teeth then angrily stated, "This is all your group's fault, you know." He eventually glared at Kangwoo who I nervously glance at yet again.
"We know…" Kangwoo surprisingly replied, "That is why we're doing some amendments." Amendments…? What kind of amendments? And as if Kangwoo sensed my curiosity, he glanced at me with a smile on his face as I noticed Eiji went back to us.
"[Alright, everything's set…]" I stare at him like he said something foreign and then he remembered that my friends don't understand Korean. "Oh, my bad… I was just saying that everything has been set.".
"What is 'set'?" Vince confusingly asked him as he cross his arms in front of his chest. My other friends and I were curious as well so Eiji just spilled the bean.
He then informed us, "Our management will cover all your hospital expenses…" Oh, alright, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was. "And for your safety, we'll be joining you on your vacation." WHAT!? "Our groups both are having a DIY vacation itinerary, right…? So why not spend it together? That way we think we could lessen our expenses, sight-see more and, of course, as the main concern… We could guarantee your safety." Oh, my goodness, this can't be happening. "What do you think?".
