"Spill it out, Victor! What happened to Cassiel?!" Violet grabbed the knight threateningly. Her information said that the war officially ended last month, and the army was tying up the loose ends before returning home. There was no news about the commander except the one Nathaniel had given her.

The duke would never hide from here if there was some problem.

Victor flinched and opened his mouth to answer, but before he could make a sound, a horrifying howl that defeated the earth and sky shook with the ground they were standing on. It sounded like a wolf but was much bigger with the lingering danger in that voice.

"No way! Another avalanche is still coming?!" The people around fell into despair again. The ice wall protected them for the first time, but the snow already piled high. If another wave were to appear now, wouldn't it easily topple to height?
