Chuck didn't seem to notice Layla's hint and didn't react at all.

When Louis and Alicia walked out of the room, Layla quickly pulled Chuck's arm and dragged him into an empty room nearby.

After she closed the door, she started waving her hands around, trying to make him understand, "If you don't snap out of it, Alicia will go back to ex."

Chuck leaned against the wall, with his hands chilling in his pockets, "If they get back together, it's their deal, not mine."

"But you like Alicia, right? Don't you want her to be with you?"

Chuck didn't answer, but had a mysterious smile on his face. He replied, "Just because you like someone doesn't mean you have to have them. If she's happy, then that's all that matters."

"But she was with you first. If you hadn't joined the International Special Troop and had to stay away for five years for secrecy, her ex wouldn't have a chance."
