Kapitel 31: Chapter 31: Subduing the Snow Wolf
Over the next few days, David focused on training his spiritual power. For now, he decided to prioritize the Snow Demon Breathing Technique as his primary cultivation method.
Although the bottleneck of the Frost Wolf Breathing Technique had disappeared after his breakthrough to Tier 4 Knight, its effectiveness was limited without a Tier 4 Frost Wolf Potion. He planned to resume practicing it only after his Frost Giant Wolf bloodline advanced to Tier 5 or he found the materials needed to prepare the potion.
Time passed steadily.
In the afternoon, the Grey Wolf Knight arrived at the castle.
While the Earth Knight who had invaded the territory had been slain, there were still numerous loose ends to address—such as distributing spoils of war and ensuring the secrecy of the incident.
It was crucial to conceal Hobbs' death in the Frost Wolf Ridge, as well as the identity of the witch, Amy.
"Master David."
Seeing the young lord unharmed, the Grey Wolf Knight was visibly moved.
Truthfully, he had been in a state of excitement for the past few days. The Frost Wolf family had produced yet another Earth Knight!
"Uncle Leo," David greeted warmly as the two headed into the castle.
Once inside the study, the Grey Wolf Knight placed several administrative orders on the table for David's approval and briefed him on the situation in the territory.
The Grey Wolf Knight had already taken steps to ensure secrecy, understanding its importance. Fortunately, apart from Lia, the Grey Wolf Knight, the Roman Knight, and a few others, only ten knight squires had been present at the scene. These squires, all members of the Frost Wolf Knights, were loyal, but precautions still needed to be taken.
"Master David, this is the Ice Wolf Fang Sword," the Grey Wolf Knight said, presenting a wooden box.
David's heart stirred as he opened the box, revealing a long sword with a blade shaped like a wolf's fang.
Gripping the Ice Wolf Fang Sword, he immediately felt the frosty power emanating from it.
"What a magnificent sword," David exclaimed in admiration.
This heirloom of the Ice Wolf family was said to have been forged from the fang of a Tier 7 Polar Ice Wolf—a true masterpiece!
With this sword in hand, combined with his Frost Giant Wolf bloodline and ice powers, his combat abilities would undoubtedly reach new heights.
Beyond the goodwill earned from saving Princess Reina, this sword alone was a massive gain!
"It certainly is a fine blade," the Grey Wolf Knight remarked. "It should rival the Frost Wolf Sword."
The Frost Wolf Sword was the ancestral weapon of the Frost Wolf family, wielded by the family head. Unfortunately, it had disappeared with the old duke when he fell in battle.
Had David possessed the Frost Wolf Sword during his fight, he might have been able to hold his ground against the Ice Wolf Great Knight even without breaking through to Earth Knight at the time.
This only highlighted David's current potential—before becoming an Earth Knight, he could already contend with one. After his breakthrough, he now had the power to suppress and ambush Earth Knights effectively!
"One day, I will find my father and reclaim both the Frost Wolf Armor and Frost Wolf Sword," David vowed.
The Grey Wolf Knight nodded, filled with confidence in his young lord.
"In addition to the Ice Wolf Fang Sword, we must also deal with Hobbs' body and the Snow Wolf."
Hearing about the Snow Wolf, David's interest piqued.
The massive Snow Wolf, nearly as tall as a man, would make an excellent mount. If he could tame it, riding it into battle would be incredibly impressive—and perhaps even attract another princess!
"Freeze Hobbs' body for now," David said. "For now, take me to see the Snow Wolf. I'll try to tame it."
Accompanied by the Grey Wolf Knight, David headed outside the castle.

As David approached the prison, the piercing howls of the Snow Wolf echoed through the air.
This was the same creature Hobbs had ridden—a beast with strength comparable to a Tier 3 Knight. Its howls alone carried an aura of intimidation, causing nearby warhorses to shiver and retreat in fear.
"My lord," the knight squires guarding the prison greeted respectfully as David arrived.
Though the Snow Wolf's limbs were bound by thick iron chains, the squires were no match for such a formidable beast. A single bite from the wolf could leave them severely injured or worse.
"I'll give it a try," David said with a slight smile, stepping toward the Snow Wolf.
Awooo!
Sensing someone approaching, the Snow Wolf's howls grew louder, filled with defiance and aggression.
While the Snow Wolf possessed extraordinary bloodline power, its intelligence was limited. Wolves were known for their loyalty; once they recognized a master, betrayal was almost unheard of. However, taming one was no easy feat.

David activated his Frost Giant Wolf bloodline and took another step forward, releasing the overwhelming pressure of his Tier 4 bloodline toward the Snow Wolf.
He intended to suppress the beast with the superior bloodline of the wolf family, asserting himself as its alpha and compelling it to obey.

The Snow Wolf's howls faltered briefly as it instinctively felt the oppressive force of the Frost Giant Wolf bloodline. However, it quickly regained its ferocity, resisting with renewed determination.
"Of course, it won't be that simple," David muttered, smiling faintly.
Without hesitation, he stepped forward and unlocked the shackles on the wolf's paws.
Awooo!
The Snow Wolf lunged at him immediately, but David, fully prepared, unleashed the strength of an Earth Knight. His fist, brimming with combat energy, struck the wolf mid-air, sending it flying!
Awooo!
The Snow Wolf rose to its feet and attempted another attack, but David stepped forward, pinning its head down with overwhelming force. Frosty energy radiated from him, freezing the ground beneath them.
"Such loyalty," David remarked coldly.
Ice formed layer by layer over the Snow Wolf, its freezing chill seeping into the creature's very core. Even as an ice-elemental magical beast, it couldn't resist the suppression entirely. Yet, despite the overwhelming cold, the Snow Wolf remained defiant, refusing to submit.
Silver light gleamed in David's eyes as the soul of a Frost Wolf roared within his spiritual world.
With a surge of spiritual power, David launched a mental assault on the Snow Wolf's consciousness.
If it wouldn't yield willingly, he would crush its resistance and take control by force.

The Snow Wolf's body quivered under the mental impact, momentarily collapsing.
