[Lysandros Evermore, Camp Half-Blood]
After I woke up again, I looked to the side, only to spot a bored, but very much awake Thalia, fidgeting with something.
In a slightly hoarse voice I said - "Morning!" - Causing her to notice me looking at her.
"Oh... so you already woke up." - She said briefly.
"How long was I out?" - I asked.
"Not too long, just around a dozen hours or so. Did I not ask for you to not overuse your magic again?" - She responded while scolding me.
"Couldn't help it." - I shrugged - "Did the barrier work?" - I asked what had been worrying me lately.
"We haven't had the chance to try it too much, but it at least seems so." - She said, making me nod to myself.
"Well, that was expected, the camp have no records of someone creating magic like mine. So anything could happen."
"Still, why can you do things like that when none of us can?" - She seemed really curious about that, but I had nothing to say, as I was just as clueless as her. There were some people talented in magic, but they could not do the things I could, so I don't think this was a matter of me being more talented than them. It was almost as if we were using different power systems altogether.
"Figures, I'm just as clueless as you are, beautiful." - I could not help but shrugg again.
"Heh? Now you call me beautiful? Were you not having quite the fun with that hunter girl? What was her name? Chloe? Doe?" - She said snarkly at me.
"It's Zöe... what? Jealous?" - I teased her.
"Hmpf!" - She looked the other way. She was sulking.
"Acting cute?"- I tease her again, and I can see a flush creeping it's way onto her face - "Relax!" - I say, as I sit up on the bed and pull her into a hug.

I had breakfast, and then, decided to try and call my mother. Not going to lie, I was nervous and excited in equal parts. So, I groomed myself up, took out the flashlight, and turned it towards some miscelaneous monster drops I had managed to collect.
The lit up drops then turned into golden dust, and in their place, appeared some golden coins. Some gold drachmas, picking up one of them, I could not help but admire the fine craftsmanship that went into it's creation.
Taking a deep breath, I take out the other gift I had received, and gave a little spray in the air, pointing the light from my first gift onto the suspended water dropplets, managing to create a colorful rainbow, that stayed in it's place, with the water misteriously floating in the air, so as to not dismantle the newly formed rainbow.
"Oh Iris, goddess of the rainbow, show me Mnemosyne, the goddess of memory!" - I chanted, before throwing a coin I had picked up into the rainbow, that disappeared into it, just like a pebble thrown into a lake.
The air surrounding the rainbow started rippling, and before long, I could see an image forming.
The image showed a large room, with white greek pillars extended towards the ceiling, there was also a large sofa, some luxurious armchairs, a large mahogamy table, that could accomodate a ton of people, some beautiful marble statues of varied creatures and even people, and a water fountain in the middle of the room, when I could see some colorful fish swimming.
But none of those things could beat the woman who was sitting by the fountain, watching the fish swimming peacefully.
She had ebony hair and a pair of noticeably golden eyes, pale skin, with a healthy rose tint to it, wearing a beautiful greek white toga, that fitted her perfectly, wearing some well designed sandals, some simple golden earings, and simple golden accessories, that only seemed to enhance her beauty even further, with a small nose, and full lips, that gave her an ethereal feeling.
She sat there, watching the fish swim, as she hummed a beautiful melody, seemingly thinking deeply about something, sometimes even forming a small frown, as if feeling troubled. I could not muster any sound, as I just stood there dumbly staring at her.
A couple of seconds later, the woman seemed to realize someone was watching her, and so, she turned and looked towards the place I was watching her from.
"Hmm?" - She hummed, as she saw the iris-message behind her, her eyes widening in surprise, as she saw my face, she seemed to fall into a daze for a second, before a beautiful smile crept it's way into her lips.
"My child... it's been hard on you..." - She said in a beautiful and melodic voice, emanating a motherly aura.
I let out a smile, while my vision seemed to blur. Weird - "Are you really my mother?" - I ask. There is some strange trembling in my voice, but I can't really quite put my finger on why this had happened. Did I get sick or something? Maybe I should check it up later.
"Yes, dear, I'm your mother. I'm sorry for not being there to see you grow... you look like a spitting image of your father." - She let's out a sad smile at the mention of my father.
Hearing about him for the first time, I could not help but ask - "My... father?"
"You have his hair, and even facial features... but your eyes took after me... his were green. He used to be an archeologist... one of the best in the field... he loved to search for ancient civilizations the most... " - She recounted with melancholy dripping from her warm voice.
"He died a couple of days after we met... a car crash... Did you like your gift? I know this can't make up for my absence, but I hope you did like it... I was going to give it to your father, when I would leave you in his care, but that had never come to pass... his name was Ferdinand Evermore." - She explained.
"I wish I had gotten to know him..." - I said, hearing something dripping somewhere.
"He was a great man..." - My mother nodded - "Dear, there are some people who are dying to talk to you... would you like to wipe your tears before I call them over?" - My mother gently asks.
Tears? I don't remember the last time I cried. Why is she telling me this? I raise my hands and touch my face, feeling something moist. Am I... Crying? No... why am I like this... I... I...

[Camp Half-Blood, Mnemosyne's Tent]
The boy looks down confused, seeing the tear dropplets that had unknowingly fallen to the ground. Feeling a sudden wave of sadness taking over him, he could not help but fall on his knees.
Tears fell from his eyes uncontrolably, as his voice was drowned by his sobbing. Mnemosyne could do nothing but watch all of this unfold in worry, trying to comfort him with her words, but it did not seem to be helping.
"I-It's going to be fine, dear, let it all out..." - She tried to soothe him.
But it wasn't until a good dozen minutes later that he managed to rein in his emotions.
"I-I'm fine now... sorry... I showed you an unsightly scene." - He managed to utter.
"You are not at fault kid, I'm sorry for not being there when you needed me..." - She flashed a sad smile at him - "Can I get them here now?"
"Y-Yes, please..." - He said, with some nervousness at the thought of meeting more so called relatives.
"Wait here for a bit, they should be in the garden..." - His mother said, before leaving somewhere.

[New York, Central Park]
A little creature, barely the size of a hand, stood, relaxed as it took a big bite on a thick steel screw, roughly half it's own size. There were then some terrible sounds of metal grinding agains metal, before the being gulped it down, before it proceeded to take another bite on the ever smaller piece of now junk.
A mice. It had a shiny silver fur, and amethist coloured eyes, that shined with inteligence and mischievousness, it's small teeth, gave out a dangerous feeling, as if it was able to bite through anything with ease. The stomach seemed to defy the laws of reality, as he munched through a pile of items many times it's size.
The creature seemed to pause for a second, as it's amethist eyes released a faint turquoise light, that lasted a couple of seconds, making it look around warily, before going back to enjoy his yummy junk.
