"Is he guilty?" Samay questioned while reading the case papers."until guilt is proven beyond a reasonable doubt, the accused should be proven guilty." She stated.
"If not us who will trust him," he said, understanding her view.
"Any updates regarding, the student murder case." He recorded her negatively.
"The case is getting more complicated day by day." She signed. A young adult had injured his classmate without the knowledge of the consequences of death, in his rage, when the boy got unconscious, he admitted him to the hospital in time but the victim died.
"We need strong evidence to prove, this is a voluntarily causing gracious hurt on provocation." He closed the case file and kept it on the table.
"It is like drawing blood out of a stone to find a shred of evidence that will prove it's not a homicide. When every ingredient in this case was falling culpable homicide." She voiced out.
"Yup." he agreed with her words.
"Apply for repost-mortem, A person can't die with minor injuries, even after he has been taken to hospital in time. If he had then he should have any medical issues or negligence caused by doctors." She pointed out one of the possible outcomes behind his death.
"There is no client as scary as an innocent man, you will be haunted lifelong if you can't save him." He said and left her cabin. She focused on her work until someone knocked on the door.
"Come in." A thirty-year-old woman entered the cabin with a few files in her hand.
"Ma'am, you have to meet a client at four o'clock." Her eyes went to the digital watch in front of her and It's quarter to four now.
"Inform Sam to attend to the client and Reschedule all my appointments for Monday."
"I will rearrange the schedule and send it before night." She left from there.
Eesha's cabin is on the fourth floor of the firm and she chooses lift than steps to the second floor. She knocked on the cabin belonging to Mr. Yadav. He is the human resource lawyer who used to work with her mom and also managed the law firm until she completed her graduation.
"Come In" He was studying a case file, to even notice who came inside his cabin.
"You would never change, Uncle." She shook her head and he raised his head Listening to her voice. a smile appeared on his face and kept his file down. "never" he said, they started to catch each other life.
"Did you prepare legal documents," he nodded "Make sure to apply it in Supreme Court this Saturday?"
"It takes at least six months to change the will." He handed her a document.
"It's perfect." She studied the papers and handed him back.
"Are you going to marry that criminal?" he questioned.
"yes," she replied without any hesitation.
"Why didn't you put some effort to stop?" "I'm fed up fighting with my father" he signed at her answers.
"Always remember your mother risked her everything to make you free. You will get stuck deeply and thoroughly." she just nodded and exited his cabin, pondering what he said.
Her mother was a great human rights lawyer, but also a trailblazer who successfully built her law firm. Her dedication to advocating for the rights of marginalized communities and her relentless pursuit of justice have earned her a well-deserved reputation in the legal community.
The firm where she worked was her mother. After her father divorced her when Eesha was four years old. one of the main reasons for the divorce is her father wants an heir, but her mother had difficulties carrying a child after her delivery.
She passed away when Eesha was twelve. Her life was great until her mother passed away. Due to some legal issues, her custody was given to her father instead of her grandfather.
Her mother had gone beyond her capacity to free me from my father. Her mother had made sure not even the shadows of her father fell on her until she was alive.
Once she left the world her efforts to keep her safe, had just gone in vain. Eesha would do anything to fulfill her mother's wish she would get freedom and get justice for her mother's every sacrifice even if she is ready to start a war.
Eesha was struck in a car sent by her father to pick her up from the law firm. a half-witted way to keep an eye on her. " four of them in front and the other four in back, while one of them in the passenger seat. They're nine bodyguards in three cars along with a driver." It's nearly six, she needs to be in the temple in twenty minutes.
She was hardly two miles away from the temple, she could reach there in time. she cleared her throat and the man who was sitting on the passenger turned towards her.
"Can you please take me to Durga temple?" He looked at her few seconds.
"I'm sorry madam, Mr. Sharma ordered us not to take you anyway." She was done for good.
"Stop the car." She pressed her every word. She jolted up from her seat due to a sudden break and she stepped out of the car. The temple was just a few meters ahead from here.
"Wait here until I come back and don't you dare to disobey my words." She gave him a small smile walked towards the shop and bought a few items that needed to worship.
The temple is located on the outskirts of the city so it's quiet and isolated. This temple is her mother's favorite temple so she would come to this temple when she missed her mother. She doesn't believe in God but her mother believes in God and she believes her mother more than anything.
"I will offer it on behalf of you to God until then you go and complete your rounds around the temple." She handed the items she bought in the shop in front of the temple to the priest.
"I had never seen you here " he was not the priest she would see every Friday in the temple.
"He went to visit his family in the village." She hummed in response.
She joined her both hands along with her eyes and started her first round around the goddess while chanting the goddess name.
"Ouch." She stumbled back when she bumped into something infront of he.
She opened her eyes and took a step back when she saw him infront of her he is handsome and his black shirt, shelves rolled up to fore arms showing his bulky arms. his upper two buttons are undone showing his muscular body making him look hot and sexy. after checking him out, I remember he is fool even he is attractive.
