Kapitel 23: Summoned

I hit a raw nerve. My suspicion was beginning to fall into pieces. The two dead victims were not acting alone, they were part of a conniving cabal and in its head was a puppet master. That puppet master manipulated them to make money, and when they failed he saw another chance to turn around his failed scheme to attain the purpose of the first in his second attempt. Their ploy was not original; it had been staged and re-staged in countless of crime incidents that one would think it would not be utilized again for so obvious a reason. These unscrupulous cops think their victims were all too stupid so the act would be recycled over and over again.

“Well, better think about it. I could give my boss what I think about the case, and I will tell him precisely what I told you. It will be your word against mine. Suspect’s words don’t carry weight.
