Kapitel 1: Chapter 1 Natasha survives

Looking at Clint, Natasha pleaded, "Let me go."

"No," Clint screamed, as tears began to fall down his face.

Natasha gave him one last smile before focusing all of her strength onto throwing herself off the cliff to the bottom. The last thing she remembered before everything went dark was seeing Clint turn away so he didn't have to watch. She felt bad for having to do this to him but it was the only way to save everyone and to make sure his kids had a father.

Even though Clint didn't want to see her fall to the ground, he couldn't help but stare at her after she hit the ground. Why did she have to do it? Why couldn't it be him? The next thing he noticed was that he was in a pool of water and an orange stone was in his hand; he closed his fingers around it and cried.

The next thing Natasha realized was that she was waking up with an unknown person in front of her. She got to her feet and prepared herself for an attack that might come.

The figure removed their hood, and a man with blonde hair was revealed.

"You're here to make a decision. In your attempt to stop Thanos, you were killed. The Avengers and their friends were successful. Steve Rogers put the stones back in their rightful timelines after your friends killed Thanos, but in doing so, he was forced to remain in the past until he was older and figured out how to return. He is now back, but he is an old man and will soon pass away from old age and illness. Just in case it has any effect on your choice, I am required to let you know. Because of what Steve Rogers accomplished, the past was reversed, allowing those who had perished at the hands of a stone or through its power to be resurrected but they have to bear the price of their deaths, or a reminder, if you will." Natasha was told by the stranger.

"What kind of price?" Natasha asked, not letting her guard down even for a second.

"An injury, as most would call it, from when you fell off the cliff with the majority of the force striking your back, neck, and head, so you have two options: go back and return to life with a head injury, which will at the very least affect your neck and cause partial blindness and partial deafness, or you can go back with a back injury, which will result in paralysis from the waist down. After some time, practice, and effort, you might be able to walk again, but not without assistance. You will never be able to walk unaided, and even with support and something helping you, you will likely only be able to walk short distances because you actually threw yourself off, which will cause you to be worse injured than someone who was thrown because they wouldn't have had time to try and flinch or prepare themselves for hitting the ground but also if you wish you can just cross over to the afterlife." The stranger told Natasha.

Natasha pondered her options. She wanted to go back to Clint and his family, as well as Yelena, but she wasn't sure how they would feel about her being alive when she was supposed to have died and with her being injured. She was confident Clint would accept it and be there for her no matter what. She wasn't sure about Yelena, though; the two of them had only recently made amends and had begun to rekindle their sibling relationship. She didn't want anything to potentially ruin that or the fact that she hadn't even had a chance to get to know the new Yelena. A part of her wanted to simply cross over like she was supposed to do so that she might meet her biological parents. the ones that Dreykov had killed, she thought about the Avengers and how they'd need her help. Being a fighter was something she had within her and was what she had been trained to be, and nothing could stop that. it could change the way she fights and how she fights but it could never stop her from fighting. She knew that she would want an injury that would bring her the least amount of pain or issues if she went back. When Steve passed away, she knew she would miss him, but she also knew he would want her to be happy and do what she wanted to do, so she knew what she had to do.

"I will return. Without me, The Avengers will struggle, they are already missing Steve and other people will need my assistance to." Natasha said to the stranger, "I'm going to choose the back injury; it's the best option, and it will cause me the least amount of problems; it's the best way for me to get as close as I can to what I was before I died, and as you said, the other one is unknown; there could be more issues that you have not mentioned, so my decision is final," Natasha told the stranger.

"Very well, you'll soon fall asleep, you won't experience any discomfort, and the next thing you know, you'll be awake on Clint Barton's farm," the stranger explains.

Natasha stopped the man from approaching her.

"We must act soon or it will be too late, so you must have trust in me. After Thanos was defeated and the stones were returned to their original locations, anyone who wants to go back must do so within a specific window of time; otherwise, it won't work." Natasha was informed by the stranger.

"Fine," Natasha said, and allowed the stranger to approach; she was then wrapped in darkness and passed out.
