80% Wasteland Gunner Princess... [Up for Adoption] / Chapter 4: The reason behind Morrigan's anger...

Kapitel 4: The reason behind Morrigan's anger...

A man comes in he's one of Morrigan's special operatives and he is missing an arm and eye...

"What the fuck happened to you?" Morrigan's eyes bug out since these Spec-Ops are only a little worse than the seven deadly sins... They were injected with a diluted version of the Super Soldier Serum...

"Encountered a Courser... It's dead but I won't be seeing combat anymore" The man shakes his head and presents the stump that is covered in the very valuable Medi-Gel that Morrigan had that madman recreate.

Morrigan solemnly nods..." You will be well taken care of! You will never have to worry about being homeless or going hungry and thirsty... You will also have enough money for entertainment! Your pension will be 3000 caps every month... I suggest getting a job perhaps being a farmer. So that you can make even more money... I treat my soldiers well! You don't have to worry Jason!" She salutes.

Jason winces but also salutes "It was an honor to serve ma'am! I plan to open a Bakery! Settle down and find a wife!" Morrigan motions for Jason to follow.

Morrigan enters a giant vault full of gold jewelry caps and all kinds of valuables... She gets 3000 caps and puts them in a suitcase.

"Thank you for your service! Your name will be put on a plaque with the other veterans! 3000 caps will be sent in the mail every month!" Morrigan nods.

"Thank you, Ma'am!" Jason salutes and walks away with the suitcase.

Morrigan arrives at her office and locks the steel door... She opens up a 100-year-old bottle of Scotch and starts drinking and silently crying. "It ain't fair! Damn you institute! I won't forget this! my soldiers are my family... And if you mess with them you mess with me!" Morrigan growls.

"And that's all..." Sarah weeps.

"I'm afraid to say this but your husband's murderer and the one to kidnap your child is a part of the distinguished seven deadly sins and are highly exalted in Warlord Morrigan's territory... In other words... He's a hero here..." Nick solemnly says.

"HAHAHAHA!" Sarah laughs in despair.

"I can help you find your child but I can't help you get your revenge on Kellogg..." Nick bows his head.

"So... It's all that warlord's fault? She ordered it all?" Sarah has a hollow look.

"Not at all... In fact, she directly opposes the act of kidnapping, hates slavers, and imprisons Raiders in the mines for twenty years as a sort of prison sentence before those Raiders are released and rehabilitated after long withdrawals from so many drugs... She is very humane... She is doing her best to revive civilization if only little by little... She may be a Tyrant but at least she makes certain the people are happy and the soldiers are well taken care of when they come back injured from combat as they are the main force for expansion across the wastelands... She has brought hope and prosperity to the people of Boston..." Nick clasps his metallic hands together as if praying that things will continue being the way they are.

"Then why is she so crazy?" Sarah couldn't help but ask.

"You need to understand... at Warlord Morrigan's core, she is broken she has lost friends family, and comrades and it has taken a toll on her... Her mental state is questionable most of the time but she fulfills her responsibilities as best as she can... She has sudden bouts of rage and anger-induced paranoia... along with mood swings.

she is well aware of her condition and has tasked a doctor with creating a medicine that will help with her um... condition... She also regularly lets her brain be scanned by said doctor so he can further perfect the medicine... she refuses to take a unfinished product that isn't safe so it's taking a long time to uncover this technology...

But sadly such knowledge and techniques have been lost to us for well over a century... She holds out hope that they can create some sort of medicine that will help her become stable... She is clearly aware she has a mental illness... She is also a heavy drinker to cope with her mental disability though it only works until a point... The point I'm trying to make here is that you shouldn't judge her too harshly... She is doing the best she can..." Nick Valentine is also Morrigan's licensed therapist and he does his best to be understanding.

"I had no idea... no wonder she seemed... so unstable... She is possibly bipolar... I should have been more understanding instead of pointing a gun at her..." Sarah shakes her head sadly... If she had known she would have been more understanding and patient but at the time she didn't know and had her own priorities.

"You couldn't have known Sarah... But now that you know... if you meet her again please be more understanding..." Nick puts his hand on top of Sarah's and speaks in a gentle voice.

'She calls me a robot and synths by their new name but adds bots to the end... I know she doesn't mean it... She says things she doesn't mean... She is just a troubled woman that needs help and care... I vowed that I would help Morrigan get through this until the end...' Nick sighs.
