Kapitel 1: Calm before the storm

"Artemis! Yoooo hooo! Are you there?" Kane called waving his hand in front of my face. I quickly slapped his hand away "yes Kane you don't need to get in my face." I sneered back. Kane is my boyfriend. 6 foot, totally ripped with stunning green eyes that shined like emeralds and short dark brown hair styled with gel. "Get up my brooding girlfriend! We are going to be late for the briefing.... again." He said while tugging on my arm. I hate briefings. I'd much rather be in training honing my skills. But as part of the elite group I have to attend since we are the muscle of the fight. I drag myself out of my chair and walk over to the side room. I looked at myself in the mirror as I slip on my boots and throw my jacket on I quickly gather all of my red hair into a pony tail and sigh as I drop it down again. I've never cut my hair so it is down past my butt at this point. I stare at my self for a second. My silver eyes matched the silver streaks through my bright red hair. I look at my outfit which was a pair of black cargos and a black crop top covered with my leather jacket. The pants had to be rolled up since I was an amazing 5 foot 3. I let out a breath and went to leave our little house. We walked together hand in hand telling horrible dad jokes to each other while half laughing and groaning at the same time. My favorite joke to say is what did the the plate say to the refrigerator..... chill, dinners on me! Yea I could hear you groan from here. Though times like these help remind me that there is still happiness in the world. Not just chaos and magikera running around causing trouble.
