The sound of the galloping horse's steps now slowly subsided, the horse Victor was riding slowed down, he was practicing archery while riding in the forest. He was ambitious to be the best student who could graduate quickly, therefore he never stopped practicing. His blue eyes watched a bird in flight, he slowly pulled his bow and released an arrow into the air.
Wuush!!!
Taakk!!
It wasn't a bird that he shot but an arrow. His gaze now turned to the source of the arrow that thwarted his hunt, he found a woman with silver platinum hair tied back in one ponytail carrying a bow and arrow on a light brown pony that she was riding.
"You thwarted me." Said Victor.
"Aren't you the one who thwarted me, my arrow split because of you!" Said the woman not wanting to lose.
"That bird is my prey!"
"That bird is mine, it's clear that my arrow will arrive first!"
"Your arrow is the one that's blocking me!" Victor said not wanting to lose.
"Didn't you see it? Your arrow broke my arrow!" The woman replied, she also didn't want to lose.
Victor observed the woman in front of him now carefully from head to toe, he had seen a pale white woman before, wasn't she the daughter of Count Montena, Bella Montena.
"A woman hunting in the forest alone? Where are your guards?" Victor said sounding a little more polite than before.
"A student is hunting in the forest without permission, where is your master?" Now Bella replied when she saw the clothes Victor was wearing were clothes for eastern knight students. Bella was quite familiar with the familiar face even though she herself was still trying to remember who the man in front of her was.
"There is no prohibition for me to hunt in the forest, besides this is free time." Victor said a little curtly.
"There is no prohibition for me to hunt alone, besides what is your business?" Bella replied.
"It seems like you are an arrogant young noblewoman, is that right, Lady?"
"Yes, and you are a very arrogant knight candidate!"
"At least I am stronger than you, and the forest has become a friend to knights."
"At least I am more polite than you!" Bella exclaimed.
"And look, you are a man, it is natural that you are stronger than me. You must remember, that I am not a weak woman and I am not afraid of the forest!" She continued.
"Okay, I have one message for you, be careful if you are attacked by wolves, I hope you are still alive, Lady Heir of the MON-TE-NA Family." Victor said with great emphasis before he left Bella.
"I hope so too, I hope you don't die from being eaten!" Bella exclaimed not wanting to lose.
The golden yellow mane with familiar blue beads reminded her of Viscount Varhadt's twins, the man was Victor Varhadt. "What a man who doesn't know manners!" Bella cursed in annoyance.
That was Victor Varhadt's first meeting with Bella Montena, full of anger because their hunt was mutually thwarted. Not only once or twice they met, almost once a week they met in the forest to hunt, it seemed like the two of them no longer had a comfortable place to hunt because they would end up fighting.
"You must have followed me." Bella said annoyed when she found Victor resting leaning against a tree.
"I was here first, weren't you the one who followed me?"
"Huh! I followed you?" It was clear from Bella's face that she was very annoyed. "You better learn properly, kid!"
"Kid?" Victor raised an eyebrow, weren't they only one year apart? "You should have begged me not to report your actions to Count Montena." Victor threatened.
"Just report it, it's not a problem anyway."
"Are you sure?" Victor's eyes stared at Bella with a mocking gaze. "A woman hunting alone in the forest without a guard, is that normal?"
"What's not right?" Bella asked back, she felt nothing wrong with her.
"Hey, this isn't your forest, this is a forest on the border, it would be very dangerous if you were alone." Victor was clearly a little annoyed.
"What's your business if I hunt alone?"
"That's none of my business, but it is my business if someone disturbs my hunting time."
"Didn't the Varhadt family teach you manners? What an arrogant low noble!" Bella left with anger burning in her, she was very annoyed with Victor.
"Go far away, Lady, I hope not to meet you!" Victor exclaimed, his voice could still be heard by Bella from a distance.

The banquet held by Duke Walterz was Victor and Bella's first meeting since their last fight in the forest. Bella looked at Victor with a mocking gaze and Victor stared back at her casually. If only their meeting hadn't been bad, maybe Victor would have been captivated by Bella Montena's beauty.
Their gaze was interrupted when her twin, Vilda Varhadt approached and scolded him. It seemed like Bella had just met her twin and was venting her frustration on him, a triumphant smile was etched on the corner of Bella's lips that Victor could clearly see.
After her twin left, Victor rushed over to Bella, it seemed like he still had to do something that would annoy the woman. "Excuse me Lady, would you like to dance with me?" Victor said, raising his voice a little so that it could be heard by several other nobles around.
Victor's invitation really cornered Bella, she couldn't refuse it immediately, her reputation would be slightly tarnished if she refused his invitation, especially since the man who invited her to dance had a pretty good reputation.
Bella accepted Victor's invitation with an annoyed look, when the music played cheerfully she held Victor's hand very tightly. If she could hit the man who was dancing with her right now, she would definitely do it with pleasure and burning enthusiasm.
"It seems like there are already many men waiting to be able to dance with you." Victor said.
"Just finish this quickly." Bella said, lazy to respond to Victor. She felt like kicking Victor's leg right now.
"Akhh..." that was her groaning, Victor had just stepped on her left foot.
"Sorry, I accidentally stepped on you."
Bella was angry. She should have been the one to kick the man's leg, but instead she was the one who had to endure the pain until the dance ended.
"I really didn't mean to, I'm sorry. I'll treat you." Victor really took Bella away in the middle of the dance when they were on the edge of the dance area, he even asked a waiter to give them an empty room so he could treat Bella.
After the maid gave Victor the medicine and bandage, Victor immediately took off Bella's shoes without asking permission first. Seeing Victor's sudden behavior like this made Bella even more annoyed.
"Take it off, I can treat it myself." Bella tried to grab the bandage from Victor's hand.
"Just sit! I will treat your wound, I will take responsibility." Victor continued to treat Bella's wound, it was not a serious wound, just a small bruise on her left foot. After compressing and applying medicine, he bandaged the bruise very carefully.
"Why did you hurt me if you treated it?" Bella asked sarcastically.
"I really didn't mean to." Victor answered seriously. "I haven't danced for a long time, I'm sorry I hurt your beautiful feet."
Bella was shocked when she heard Victor's words, she hurriedly pulled her feet and put her shoes back on. "Thank you for your help." Bella tried to walk even though she was limping a little, she called the maid to help her and left Victor as quickly as possible.
Bella heard a little commotion that Count George's son had arrived, she felt relieved, at least the nobles were not gossiping about her who suddenly came out while dancing. Her gaze caught the figure of Harvis George from a distance, his black beaded gaze was very firm, his body was sturdy, and the way he walked was truly charismatic. This was the charm of Harvis George who was rumored to have run away because he did not want to be married to Jeanna Walterz, the daughter of Duke Walterz. The pain in her left foot made Bella realize that she had to rest immediately and leave this party, all of this was because of Victor Varhadt! Victor did not lie, he admitted that Bella Montena was very beautiful, he could still feel her smooth skin. It seemed that he was a little grateful for his foot that accidentally stepped on Bella's left foot, now Bella could not accept dance invitations from other men, only he was the one dancing with her tonight.
