Jodie Josselyn, an American transfer student, begins their high school journey in Japan with a mix of excitement and apprehension. Standing out with their unique appearance and long hair, Jodie quickly catches the attention of many, especially the persistent members of the volleyball club.

Despite initial reluctance, Jodie gets drawn into the club's desperate bid to avoid disbandment, led by the passionate Hoshizaki Aki and the cunning Kimura Chikako.
