July's POV:
With the decorations of our school going from zero to one thousand over just one week the festive spirit crept its way into the hearts of everyone. Okay maybe not everyone. Tammy and Ally both did still seem quite resilient to the warm feeling of happiness and joy the holidays promised.
I tried some small things to get Tammy into a more festive mood. Like asking her to take a picture sitting in the ice sleigh Pogi chainsawed out in the yard. Or started playing more Christmassy songs on my guitar. Until yet it showed no effect. Tammy didn't complain about it, which I give her a lot of credit for. She smiled in every selfie I took, but it was a kinda forced one. It never reached her eyes.
So naturally, I tried to turn down my giddiness and excitement about Christmas as well as I could. I did my best to not let it show, but I could see in her eyes that Tammy noticed it anyway. Not sure if she gets why though.
