Kapitel 3: Chapter Two - Ice Needle
Finding food and training could both go hand-in-hand. As long as he learned how to use his powers, he should be able to hunt food fairly easily.
Ernie headed out of the cave into the rain it must have been due to luck, but he found a deer running by. With food in sight, Ernie started to run towards the deer.
The deer was alert and heard Ernie running towards it, so it darted away.
"Nope not today!"
Ernie moved his hard as if he was flinging something towards the deer and a bullet of water shot towards the deer.
The deer was hit in its hind leg and stumbled to the ground.
"Wait… I was trying to throw an ice needle. Not a water bullet!"
In his head, he imagined it would be simple to throw an ice needle, but turns out he was wrong.
He tried again, concentrating hard this time and a three inch ice needle appeared in his hands. Flinging it, it pieced the deer's neck.
"Glad I don't have to wait on my potential to awaken. If I did, i'd die of starvation before a year went by."
Ernie wasn't in a rush to get the deer yet, he started to think about other things. Comparing this start to his One Piece start.
"Frankly, this is just overpowered. If I was born into a clan, i'd be considered a prodigy and be given the highest treatment. I don't know why you didn't let me have an easy life like that."
Ernie sighed and shook his head.
He looked at the deer and wanted to curse.
This deer would be heavy, there was no way he would be able to carry it back to the cave.
Squatting down next to the deer, Ernie created a knife made out of ice. With the knife in hand he started to cut the deer. He skinned its fur off, and cut a portion of its ribs out.
With the meat in hand, he walked back to his cave.
Luckily for him, his father already had some wood here to start a fire, the only thing he needed to do was actually start the fire.
"I feel like a fraking caveman."
Ernie said as he started trying to create a fire by twisting and turning a thick stick back and forth on a piece of wood with leaves.
It took him a long time, almost an hour of continuously trying before he finally figured out the correct technique. With fire and food, he could warm himself up and cook his dinner.
Days went by, then a week, and so did months. Before he knew it, Ernie stayed in this world for 7 years, making him 12 years old now.
It was just him, this cave and whatever prey wandered by.
It wasn't that he couldn't leave the cave, it's just that he had no need to explore right now. One reason being, he was too young and he knew he wouldn't be able to travel great distances. Another reason being, he found this place wherever it may be, to be a perfect place to train. No one was around to bother him, so he could do whatever he wanted.
Unlike in his One Piece world start where he basically wasted ten years training but getting beat up by Luffy, this time he had a better start. He learned new skills, and created his own techniques.
It was said already, and he's been saying it over and over. His character was just too powerful.
