"I...I... Mr. Maximus, I am sorry. It was impulsive. I was so happy and didn't realize what I was doing. Let it be a joke," Katherine stuttered, her cheeks flushed as she looked at him with wide eyes.

"Does it look like I am joking to you?" Maximus asked, moving his hand through his hair, making him look even hotter than before as he looked straight into her eyes as if daring her to look away.

He stepped forward and Katherine widened her eyes when the back of her knees hit the bed as she kept backing and she fell on it.

"You can't be serious," She stuttered again, unable to form a coherent reply as her heart drummed against her chest.

What is happening right now? She almost felt like she was having an explicit moment with him when he was just gazing at her and doing nothing.
