Kapitel 148: Awkward moments

Maximus sat there, waiting for Delilah to complete what she started.

What did she mean she wanted to be out of here? Was she thinking of leaving this place? But why? What the hell exactly happened to her so suddenly?

He thought they were making some kind of progress when she kissed him back and allowed him to share the tent with her. The way she would become shy but still trust him with her life, he thought something had started between them.

Was it all just his wishful thinking? And if yes, then why?

He wasn't probably the only one who felt the bond between them, was he? If the red thread of fate was formed between them, wasn't she supposed to be affected by it a little too? His wolf accepted her in his heart already as their woman.

Why was he the only one feeling all these things? He would've believed that it was all because of the fact that she didn't have a wolf, but his wolf said they felt her wolf awakening for some time.
