She checked herself in the mirror in the bathroom, adjusting her negligee. She dabbed a bit of body lotion on all her intimate areas. Like everything else at the Prince de Galles Marriott Hotel, the lotion felt luxurious. 

The drive was anything but. They must have taken at least twenty wrong turns, deliberately, and stopped at a boutique hotel, ditched the limo, and checked into the hotel, then gotten into an SUV. From the boutique hotel, they backtracked to the Prince de Galles and checked into this exquisite suite.

Studying herself in the mirror, she noticed her hands trembled.

She'd slept with Dimitri before. Become his mistress, his pet. Shared his bed. Yet here she stood, in the palatial hotel bathroom, like a blushing virgin. All because he put a diamond on her finger. It reassured her that she felt nervous and excited.
