Ariana POV
The wind caressed her cheeks while she and Dimitri strolled the neighborhood. Shops, cafes, restaurants, clubs, and galleries lined the streets. But the patisserie on the corner called to their little group, and they headed to the sweet trap with the luscious desserts in the window and a sign advertising cafe au lait, French press coffee, espresso, cappuccino, lattes, chais, teas, and "chocolate chaud."
She nudged Dimitri. "I have to be able to fit into my wedding dress."
Dimitri seemed royally unconcerned. "Fine. We'll walk the entire Louvre. We'll go up in the Eiffel Tower. We'll go into the catacombs. We'll walk the Parc Monceau, the Tuileries, Versailles, everything."
Uncle Bill scoffed. "You've always been fit, Ari. Never had to tell you to get up off the couch and get some exercise, did we?"
Aunt Sally clung to Ariana's arm. "Remember how you started jogging in middle school?"
I speak French, have visited Paris, and loved writing this Paris picnic in the park.
Will Dimitri and Ariana find peace in Paris?
