FIVE DAYS LATER

Inside her new study in the villa, she rubbed her eyes as she stared at the new MacBook Pro that Dimitri had bought her. It had so many features and was so powerful. She watched the lecture, attending the online class at Ampero University.

Three days ago, Paranoid Dimitri wanted her to enroll under another name, but she refused.

"Dimitri, they already know I'm here."

He channeled his frustration into working out on the treadmill with incredible speed and grace. His strides were long and powerful. "I know. But I hate that you're exposed--"

"I'm on the Internet. They can't get to me. I thought that was the whole point of me attending college over a computer screen!"

He growled. "They invaded the city. They're capable of anything."

"Are you going to let them push you around?"

His golden eyes burned. "Less arguing, more exercise."
