Kapitel 73: Founders
As Cherry led Lyra and Clara into a more quaint room, Lyra began asking questions about the resistance club. Cherry, eager to share her knowledge, started answering Lyra's queries.
"The resistance club is a part of the school's very foundation," Cherry explained. "Do you know about the history of Ashborne Academy?"
Lyra shook her head, "No, I don't."
Cherry continued, "Many people think this school was founded by vampires, but that's not true. It was actually humans who built this city and the academy. The resistance club is a rite of passage for us here in Ashborne. We are everywhere, more than you might think."
Lyra was surprised to learn how deeply rooted the resistance club was in the school's history and the city itself. She had no idea that the club's influence extended so far beyond the academy's walls.
As the conversation continued, Cherry's expression grew more serious. She leaned in closer to Lyra and asked, "If you don't mind me asking, what kind of experiences have you had with vampires?"
Lyra hesitated for a moment, the memories of her past encounters with vampires flooding back to her. She thought of the attack that had taken her parents from her, of the constant fear and uncertainty that had plagued her ever since.
With a deep breath, Lyra began to share her story, her voice trembling slightly as she recounted the painful details. Cherry listened intently, her eyes filled with empathy and understanding.
As Lyra finished her tale, Cherry reached out and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I'm so sorry for what you've been through," she said softly. "But know that you're not alone. Everyone here in the resistance club has been touched by the vampires in one way or another. That's why we fight, to protect our loved ones and to make sure that no one else has to suffer as we have."
