Taurus and Alan picked up Miril and rushed through the caverns with Valerian to take away the fainted lady. They were closing in on the entrance when Valerian jumped in the void and flipped over them. 

While still in the air, he took his sword from his back while still in the void and twisted his body to generate momentum as the blade cut the air. A clang sounded, and he landed on the ground. He did not turn his head and said, "Leave and bring the news of this thing to the guild building. Be quick." 

Taurus and Alan had stopped earlier, and now, they were in shock when they saw Valerian standing before a creature that they could not discern looked like what. However, the shout from Valerian awakened them, and they ran for the exit.
