Kapitel 72: Danger

The man walked towards her, his hand in his pocket.

"Your costume is totally on point, child," he said.

"Come near me, and I'll scream," Rosalie threatened, her voice trembling slightly.

"How about you call the cops, huh? That will be better," he responded, his tone mocking.

She curled her fingers into a fist, ready to defend herself.

"I'm a bad guy, but I bear no harmful intentions. Miss V asked for a favor."

"You know Miss V?" Rosalie asked, her suspicion growing.

"I know your mother. She sent me this letter," he said, bringing out a letter from his coat.

Rosalie squinted at the old paper stretched out before her. It bore the same black lipstick mark as the letter she had received earlier.

"Why should I trust you?" she asked, frowning.

"Because you need to get to the sparrow's nest, which isn't nearby."
