Kapitel 167: Lost and Found

The man covered in black dust stirred awake with a groan as his consciousness slip in and out from the unbearable pain. 

'Am I dead?'

'But why do I feel pain?'

He felt a cooling palm-sized object rested on his chest. Initially, it felt welcoming. However, he felt the stark contrast when the coldness spread, sending icy cold threads within his body against the burning hot flesh through the veins and capillaries. 

Despite the cold fire that might threaten to burst his vampiric roots in his body, it did not feel uncomfortable at all. Instead, it felt calming and reassuring. There was a pleasing light swivelling in his closed eyes like the comforting lighthouse for the boats in the ocean, alluring him to slip into unconsciousness.
