"After we get some sort of transport... where do you plan on going after?" Saya asked, confident that they will get to the faculty room safely and find keys for a vehicle.
"Somewhere safe near the city preferably," Jin answered as he cut down a zombie on their path.
Saya got her hopes up and wanted to recommend her family manor, but she had to ask, "Do you have a reason for that?"
She was smart and already had some ideas why, but she wanted to hear his thoughts.
"The city will be dangerous," Jin said. He had picked Disadvantages before the jump that made the zombies stronger and able to evolve further, so the city was surely going to be a dangerous place.
Not for him since Jin wasn't normal, but for the group he planned on gathering. However, if he wished for his group to survive for at least a year, there were things he had to grab from the city.
"Still, if we wish to survive this apocalypse, we will need to obtain a lot of goods. Weapons to defend ourselves are one thing, but we will also need food and water, among other things," Jin continued.
Canned food was a must, but he also wanted to gather seeds if possible. If they were to survive for at least one year, they needed to have a stable food source. Jin also wished to collect as many books as possible.
Books will help them with their survival, but he was thinking of his own budding Universe as well. Since people will be living in his world in the future, they will need to be educated, and this was a good place to at least start gathering knowledge.
Saya nodded, happy to hear that Jin wasn't all muscle and no brain. He was already making plans for their future, and Saya was pleased to know that her savior was a smart man. Dealing with dunderheads wasn't something she wished to deal with in the current state of the world.
"I-I..." Saya was just about to suggest something when they neared the faculty room and encountered a small group.
Three women were there, two adults and one student, facing off against three zombies. Well, it was mostly the student that was doing that while the adults were cowering behind her.
Jin recognized the three from Shido's memories. The two cowering behind the student were a teacher, Kyoko Hayashi, and the school nurse, Shizuka Marikawa. Kyoko was a middle-aged woman with light brown eyes covered with glasses and reddish-brown hair kept in a loose ponytail. Despite being in her thirties, she still looked good, having a full figure with large breasts.
However, Shizuka put Kyoko to shame with how beautiful the nurse looked. She was a very tall blonde buxom woman with ridiculous curves and the most eye-catching breasts Jin had ever seen. They were ridiculously huge, and he had no idea how her white nurse outfit even held them in.
The one protecting the two was Saeko Busujima, yet another beautiful female. She was almost as tall as Shizuka and almost matched her body with her ridiculous curves. However, her shiny thigh-length straight purple hair and blue eyes made her look more exotic.
Saeko was wielding a steel pipe in her hands as she bobbed and weaved. She kept the three zombies a distance away from her with expert footwork while also making sure they were focused on her. Saeko was handling the steel pipe expertly, but just looking at her movements, Jin knew she would fare much better with a sword in her hands. Shido's memories of her being the captain of the Kendo Club confirmed that.
Jin didn't hesitate to jump in and quickly decapitated the zombies with a few precise slashes. Those three were all beautiful women that could be useful not only for his Sanctuary but his Universe as well.
The three looked at him in both awe and surprise at how quickly and easily he killed the zombies that Saeko struggled with. The purple-haired beauty looked him up and down with a strange look in her eyes. Jin wasn't sure what it was, but it seemed like... appreciation? Though, he didn't think it was aimed at his appearance.
"I'm Jin, but we don't have time for introductions right now. We need to get a key for one of the school busses and leave the school as quickly as possible," Jin said, taking the lead of the group as if it was natural for him to do so.
"Yes, Jin-san!" They quickly agreed, following him to the faculty room.
"Grab the key, gather whatever you think will be useful," Jin said and looked at the nurse and teacher. "And if you can be quick about it, change into some easier to move clothes."
Giving commands felt so natural to Jin, and he did it with ease. The Charismatic Leader was definitely worth the points he used for it and already showing its worth.
Saya, Shizuka, and Kyoko entered the faculty room as he stopped in front of it to guard them against any zombies that approached. Saeko stayed with him, but she wasn't there to keep him company as her eyes were focused on Beef.
"I'm Saeko Busujima, captain of the Kendo Club," she introduced herself, but her eyes never left the weapon. However, her brain was working overtime trying to figure out who he was. She saw his movements and technique and was more than impressed by them. He was obviously skilled with the blade, but then why hadn't she heard of him?
"I know," Jin replied casually as if the school wasn't overflowing with zombies.
"You really like this, don't you?" Jin asked and lifted Beef up, so she could get a closer look.
"It's a beautiful blade," Saeko confirmed. "Where did you find it?"
"That doesn't matter, but," Jin said and handed it over to her. "You should use it for now. Be careful, though. It's very sharp."
"What about you?" Saeko asked with a grateful look, but she still took the blade of his hands.
"I can handle myself even without a weapon," Jin informed her confidently, getting another strange look from her.
"You're not just trying to impress me, are you?" Saeko asked with a small smirk.
"I think I already did that, but don't worry about me. I know what I'm doing," Jin told her, making her grin even harder.
"I really hope so."
Saya exited the faculty room at that point with a bag over her shoulder.
"We got a key for the school bus and found a few snacks in the room. Shizuka-san and Kyoko-san are changing their clothes and will be out shortly," Saya informed them.
"Good," Jin said with a pleased smile, making Saya perk up and push her beautiful chest towards him. "Pass me one of the snacks if you will."
Jin had already eaten earlier, but that hadn't been satisfying enough. His Adaptability Perk stopped him from jumping one of the girls in front of him, but he wouldn't mind a small snack. Saya opened the bag for him, and Jin picked an energy bar to munch on while waiting.
Shortly after, Shizuka and Kyoka exited the room, wearing everyday clothes that consisted of jeans and a blouse.
"Let's get a move on. We need to get to the school bus quickly," Jin said, taking the lead.
"Saeko, stay in the back and guard from any zombies that might ambush us. Again, be careful with the katana. It's very sharp. I will lead the group and deal with any zombies in the front."
"I can handle myself. I know what I'm doing," Saeko repeated his words with a small smirk, making him grin at her.
Saya watched their interaction with a small frown. She didn't mind how the two... flirted with each other, but she didn't like that Jin wasn't doing the same with her. Saya shook her head. Now wasn't the time of thinking about that, plus, she was beautiful and a genius as well. She knew she could catch his eye when they reach a safer place, preferably her family home.
With Jin in the lead, they made their way through the school hallways. It didn't take them long to encounter a group of zombies, and he quickly decided on how to handle them. Jin could keep his ghoul abilities hidden, but... why bother? He would only handicap himself, and... this should be an apocalyptic world. There shouldn't be anyone who could harm him here, and... he could use them for his advantage.
Jin's purple koukaku came out of his shoulder blade and circled his right arm, turning into a massive sword at the end. A koukaku was flexible in what it could become, and he had the memories of ghouls that had made theirs into swords, shields, or even hammers.
The blade Jin formed was broader than even him. With Beef, he used quick and precise strikes, but with his koukaku, he just split the zombies into two as if they were butter.
"W-what i-is t-that?!?" Saya asked in fear. Shizuka and Kyoko looked just as scared, but Saeko... she stared at him with an open mouth... and was she drooling?
"W-what a-are y-you?" Kyoko asked with a tremble while stepping away from him.
Jin looked down, trying to look ashamed and sad. He was about to test his acting skill and give them a sob story that they will hopefully believe.
"I... don't know. They... experimented on me for my entire life. I..." Jin took a deep breath as if he was trying to calm himself.
"I don't think I'm human anymore. I.. remember hearing them say something about my blood being pure and that I was the only successful experiment," Jin took another deep breath.
"I think... something wrong happened with their experiment a few days ago. They stopped visiting me, and... I managed to escape the facility today. The whole place was filled with zombies like here."
"I'm not sure what they wished to accomplish, but I think they wanted to make more like me. But... you can see what ended up happening."
Jin didn't move his gaze from the floor, trying to be as sad as possible. If he could've forced himself to cry, it would've been better, but he hoped that was good enough for them.
Shizuka slammed into Jin with inhuman speed, wrapping her arms around him and soothingly rubbing his back while pushing her humongous breasts against his chest. The mounts of flesh gave him a pleasant and lustful feeling even through the fabric. But... his stomach also grumbled in desire, craving for him to plunge his teeth into her. He would have to learn to control his hunger if he wanted to survive one year with his group. Hopefully, he won't end up eating them, else he might end up spending his entire life in this world.
"It's okay. You are..." Shizuka rubbed his back and was about to say he was safe now, but that would be wrong, considering the school was already overflown with zombies.
"You don't have to worry. We don't hate you, right?" Shizuka asked the three behind her.
"I certainly don't," Saeko said and licked her lips.
"Me neither!" Saya quickly said as well.
Only Kyoko looked conflicted, but she knew Jin was their best chance of survival. "I'm sorry for reacting like that... it was just unexpected."
"I don't blame you... after all, I'm a monster," Jin said, burying his head in Shizuka's neck and wrapping his arms around her.
"No, no, no, Jin-kun. You are not a monster. You are our savior, our hero!" Shizuka exclaimed and hugged him even tighter. She smelled of fresh daisies, and at that point, there was a massive battle in Jin between his hunger and lust.
"Yes! If it wasn't for you, Jin-san, I would've died! You are not a monster!" Saya chipped in as well.
Kyoko stayed quiet, but she had to agree that Jin had indeed saved them. If it wasn't for him, they would all most likely be zombies by now.
Saeko, however, surprised them all. "Ohh, I hope you are a monster because only a monster will be able to keep us safe."
"And only a monster can handle me..." she finished quietly, only to herself. However, Jin's senses were enhanced due to his ghoul physiology, and he picked up on that tidbit.
"I... thank you all, but we can't keep staying here any longer. We have to move," Jin said, lightly pushing Shizuka away despite how much he enjoyed feeling her up close.
Jin turned around quickly as if he didn't dare look at them and took the lead. He used his koukaku freely and dispatched any zombies in his path. Saeko stayed in the back and killed any that tried ambushing them. Jin kept an eye on her and was impressed by how skilled she was with a blade. Giving her Beef turned out to be a smart choice since they had one more efficient fighter in their group with her.
There was still the little problem of his group consisting of only four excluding him. Jin needed to recruit at least one more, and he kept looking for anyone on their way. Unfortunately, they didn't encounter any living students or teachers.
While they were moving towards the school busses, the girls had the chance to process his words. Jin had been 'experimented' on, and he said he found the facility Jin had been held in full with zombies when he had escaped.
They quickly made the connection that this zombie outbreak wasn't something natural, but it was caused by humans experimenting on other humans. Jin's sob story was a lie, but it wasn't far from the truth. There was no way that the zombie outbreak occurred naturally.
They didn't get to think about it too much as they finally reached the school bus. They quickly boarded the vehicle, but Jin stayed outside. He would still ride the bus, but the zombies were stronger than they should've been. Jin was sure that a small group of them might be able to damage or even topple the bus, so he planned to stay outside of it.
"Can any of you drive?" Jin asked them, and only Shizuka nodded.
"I can, but I've only driven a car before. I... I don't know if I can drive a bus," Shizuka admitted and looked down with shame.
"I believe you can do this, Shizuka," Jin said and placed his hand on her shoulder, squeezing it lightly in reassurance. "No, I know you can, and I know you will safely get us out of here," he finished with a smile and saw a faint blush on the blonde nurse's cheeks.
"I will do my best, Jin-kun!" Shizuka declared with confidence before clumsily handling the key and almost dropping it. Jin shook his head and chuckled, but he really believed in her.
"Where will we go?" Kyoko asked for their destination.
"We can go to my family's estate," Saya quickly offered. "It's outside of the city, but not by much. It should be protected by guards, and we can bunker down there."
"That sounds like a plan. Can you navigate Shizuka to your family's estate?" Jin asked. Since they hadn't found any other living people, he hoped to get someone there.
"Yep, you can trust me on that," Saya said with confidence and winked at him.
"Good!" Jin nodded, and Shizuka finally managed to start up the bus at that point.
"Shizuka, follow Saya's words. I will stay outside and guard the bus," Jin said, and they watched him jump high in the air. They heard a thud as he landed on top of the bus before they saw a red tail pierce the roof, anchoring him to the vehicle.
