Kapitel 60: advice from mother

Georgina's POV

At 9:00 PM, I still felt too lazy to do anything and didn't want to be alone in the room with Leonardo. I just sat on the living room couch, watching TV and enjoying the snacks provided by Ruby, a maid who had been working here for a long time.

I still couldn't get Leonardo's words to Stefania out of my head, words I accidentally overheard as I was leaving the room. Now I feel like an unwanted wife, and it makes me wonder why I should stay with him when I could take care of this baby on my own, with my family.

"I don't need him," my lips spoke spontaneously as my hand reached for a pack of brownish-yellow packaged cassava snacks, then I ate it.

"Georgina..."

A soft voice from the right diverted my attention, and I turned to see my mother coming towards me. Hmm, now I'm curious if she knows about my debate with Leonardo. We haven't even spoken since earlier.

"Where is your husband?" she asked, sitting beside me.
