Kapitel 3: Scared Little Bird

Lan Yi Ping, the owner of the Book Of Shadows. The person must be from here, and the book seems to be few decades old, put into the small corner for years now.

Ping flip through it but couldn't find anything interesting so she put it back and went on her way to find some novel to borrow to keep herself entertain if her classes tomorrow turn out boring to her liking.

Her mother woke her up by screaming, "Wake up Yanyan!" and a slap across her face.

Yan Ping wasn't okay with it but since she's not a morning person she always get slap almost every day in the morning.

Her mother favours her oldest son anyway.

Walking the new school's hallway is... annoying because the other students keep looking at her as if she's a new specimen that they haven't seen in their life. She is since she's a witch as humans call the people who can control their inner knowledge and spiritual strength. That doesn't mean they have to know it. School is school, and people will be always on the look out for those who seems different and not the crowd person.

Yan Ping surely look normal on the outside, but she was not the crowd person, she likes to keep to herself and is really weary of who she befriends with.

The teacher gave out her introduction and made her seat on the last desk by the window. First class went by like a minute and the class went on till it was lunch time and then the students were walking around, sitting together to eat their homemade lunchbox. Bored, Yan Ping got up from her desk and walk out of the class into the bustling hallway. Deciding she haven't had a stick since the morning, she set out towards the roof to smoke.

Ping light a stick and put the lighter back into her jeans pocket as she opened the door and step into the roof top while blowing out a smoke. She stops, blinks her eyes and then smirks at the scene she stumbles upon.

"What, dont mind me?" Ping says as she look at a girl on the floor curled up and two other girls above her, who are looking at Ping 'cause of her sudden appearance.

One of the girl kicks the stomach of the girl on the floor before they both walk out of the roof. But not without glaring and threatening Ping to tell no one or they'll do the same to her.

The girl on the floor slowly sit up, whimpering when her sides hurt too much from moving, soft sobs coming out of her mouth as she pull herself to stand up with a little difficulty-

"Xiao Niao." Ping called, the nickname flowing out of her mouth smoothly.

The girl look startled and scared that she stood there anticipating the coming doom because everyone of her classmates seem to hate her for some unknown reason and always bully her. There was stocked when the new student just came and crouch in front of her, threw away her cigarette and slowly took her injured right foot, hold it in her hands for some second then put it down on the floor.

She blinks and stares at the new student. Her foot was just hurting how could she take the pain away, she thought. Then she watch as the new student stood up and patted her cheeks, twice. All her pain went away miraculously, like magic. She stares at the new student who smiles at her before turning and walking into the door. She could hear the footsteps on the stairs going down and she was too stun to even speak a word.
