Before Shao Lan could let out a tearful sob, Xiaoting glared at her, silencing her.

"If you dare to let out another cry, pack your things and get the hell out of here. This is a hospital, not your home!"

"And I'm not your mom. Wiping your tears with me accomplishes nothing! Do you understand?"

With those words from Xiaoting, Shao Lan suppressed the urge to cry and said, "Director, the patient in room 205 is having an episode again, and it's serious. We don't know what to do, which is why we've come to ask you."

Though Shao Lan spoke these words without crying, there was still a tremor in her voice, but she quickly regained her composure after speaking and stopped shaking.

Upon hearing Shao Lan's words, Xiaoting's anger subsided, replaced by a serious expression.

Although Xiaoting had a temperamental nature, she was after all someone who loved her job and took it seriously.
