Kapitel 13: 13 - Consequences

After a long time, when Xia Qingyue finished breakfast and Itachi finished thinking did Xiao Lie return. Though there was an unprecedentedly heavy look written on his face, along with a bit of shock that had yet to completely disperse.

" Is there something wrong, Grandfather? " Itachi said as he stood up.

"A major event. For the Xiao Clan, this is an enormous matter." Xiao Lie said, yet his furrowed brow loosened. "But, it shouldn't have much to do with us."

" An enormous matter? What kind? " He questioned as he hadn't found any reasonable answers when he was in deep thought.

"It's the Xiao Sect."

"The Xiao Sect...?!" Itachi said wide eyes and even Xia Qingyue was surprised. Indeed it was an unexpected variable, as even if the Xiao Clan had a connection to the Xiao Sect, it was barely any good. As even after the founding of the Xiao Clan, there hasn't ever been any contact with the Xiao Sect.

"About half an hour ago, the clan master received a letter from the Xiao Sect. The letter said that the Xiao Sect will immediately send a group of people here. Not only that, but the leader of that group is the Xiao Sect's current Sect Master Xiao Juetian's youngest son!" Xiao Lie said slowly.

"... This is indeed an enormous matter, though it seems suspicious" Itachi said as he closed his eyes.

"While our Xiao Clan did come from the Xiao Sect one hundred and sixty years ago, the Xiao Sect has always treated us with contemptuous disgust. Xiao Lie shook his head and said: "Of course there's a reason. Though he vowed that after the Xiao Sect leaves, he would tell his grandfather of his cultivation to ease his worries. He might also open his profound entrances, in hopes that Xiao Lie might breakthrough. The same with his little aunt Xiao Lingxi, he wanted to help them grow in strenght.

After coming out of Xiao Lie's courtyard, Itachi immediately realized that the entire Xiao Clan's atmosphere had distinctively changed. Normally at this time, there would be quite a few people doing their morning training. However, now, as far as the eye can see, there were only scattered shadows, most of them moving with hurried footsteps and faces full of excitement.

As Xiao Yang struggled he was suddenly released. He was about to attack when he was met with crimson red eyes, with weird shapes as it spun hypnotically.

" Speak, what do you want with me " Itachi said said as he stared down Xiao Yang with his sharingan.

Xiao Yang was about to retort when he suddenly lost all emotion and emotionlessly said " I was told by Xiao Yulong to bring you to his courtyard" He was obviously under a genjutsu. It was merely a low level one, as it only hypnotized a person to do what the caster asks. But after they would have no memory of the caster, meaning Xiao Yang would even forget that he ever approached Itachi.

After hearing Xiao Yang's answer Itachi narrowed his eyes slightly as he closed his eyes. He opened them again as he ordered " Bring me to him "

Xiao Yulong's courtyard was bigger than hiss by about four or five times. Not only was it overwhelmingly luxurious, but it also had a dedicated serving girl.

Slightly north of the courtyard center sat a square pavilion, the table inside was filled with food and wine. He looked and saw that he was impaled with staked preventing his movement. This was of course one of Itachi's visual genjutsu, the Paralysis jutsu cast by his sharingan.

At the same time he saw that, he was no longer in his courtyard but in a world dyed crimson.

' What is this? ' Xiao Yulong said as he struggled.

Itachi did not fear Xiao Yulong as his visual prowess wasn't fueled by the state of his body but his mind and mental strength. So even if he were to cultivate and have a stronger body his visual prowess still wouldn't grow.

His visual genjutsu and prowess would only be broken by those who had a higher mental state of mind or will than he had. So even if someone was at the Sovereign profound realm, if they were mentally weaker than Itachi, they would instantly lose if they were to be trapped by him under a genjutsu.

Even if Xiao Yulong managed to break his genjutsu he was still weaker than him in cultivation. Xiao Yulong was only at the 3rd stage of nascent profound realm whereas Itachi was already at the 6th stage.

Finally after a long silence did Itachi finally started speaking.

" First of all, the problem with you... is your greed and malicious nature hidden in your fake facade" Xiao Yulong listened as he looked at Itachi with pure shock, since it wasn't the same weakling he was used too.

" But no matter how you hide it " Itachi said as he disappeared from his view and reappeared in front of Xiao Yulong, with his sharingan staring right at him. " My eyes can see through them"

After hearing that, Xiao Yulong soon started feeling extreme pain. But even so he couldn't scream as he was frozen in place.

" This will be you're punishment. I have damaged you profound veins, you have now regressed back to the 7th stage of Elementary Profound realm, but from now on if not treated quickly you would soon lose the ability to cultivate" Itachi said as he cancelled the Paralysis Jutsu but not before making Xiao Yulong forget he was ever here.

" Now, live a fate worse than death. Become what you so despised, a cripple"

What Itachi did was break break Xiao Yulong's profound veins to near cripple. If not treated soon he would lose his 7th level of Elementary Profound cultivation as it would drop day by day and then turn to a real cripple. Of course it could still be treated, but he would need a legendary doctor for that. Where in Floating Cloud City was like searching for a needle in a hay stack. Even those great sects might not be able to invite a doctor that can fix Xiao Yulong.

He had only done so and not out right kill him because a huge event will take place in the next coming days. He wanted to see the clan head and his son Xiao Yulong, be humiliated. Only after would he think of taking his life.

Itachi merely walked back to his courtyard not bothering another second to stay. He also did the same thing he did to Xiao Yulong to Xiao Yang, as they collaborated with each other. While on his way back, he didn't forget to put all those servants who worked on Xiao Yulong's courtyard in a genjutsu to forget he was ever there. He did so as to make sure no traces pointed to him, since they would never suspect him as to the entire Floating Cloud City he was only a cripple.
