Kapitel 2: 1 – Divine move

"How do you like our game?" Nogitsune asked Stiles in an even voice, "Would you agree that my move was simply divine?" The Spirit continued with a touch of arrogance.

"Shut up," Stiles growled through his teeth, "You disgust me! You're the reason Allison died, you're the reason we're here now!" The teenager shouted with uncharacteristic anger and rage, losing his patience.

"Mortal. You don't know anything about games," Fox exhaled happily, "And as for where we ended up, to tell you the truth, I don't know myself. After all, I didn't activate the Nemeton, you and the rest of Scott McCall's gang did. Therefore, everything that's happening right now is your fault," he finished simply.

"What a scumbag you are..." Stiles answered him and made an attempt to stand up, "Damn, why won't it come out?"

"Maybe it's a side effect of the transference," Nogitsune suggested, and immediately changed the subject as if he wasn't interested in anything else, "You know, you're a worthy opponent, Stiles, even with Noshiko I didn't have so much fun! Too bad it's a draw and now we're here, but you gotta admit, it's more fun this way!?"

"You're insane, you know that?" The guy grudgingly answered him, making another attempt to move any part of his body. But all that was available to him were his eyes, ears, and mouth.

"Uh-oh, believe me, I've been told that more than once!" Dark Kitsune laughed heartily, "Too bad, of course, that I'm trapped in your body again..." he finished sadly.

"Aha...wait, what!" Stiles exclaimed.

"Yeah, yeah, you can be proud of yourself! When Scott bit me and afterward I re-entered your body, some of my powers were sealed, even now I can feel something happening to me..."

"Okay, in the meantime could you shut up and let me think for a while? Thank you," the kid regained his sanity. He had a lot to think about.

The last thing he remembered was his own fall in the school hallway, his friends leaning over him. And his then location being different from the present.

The crowns of dozens of trees are visible all around, through which the sun's rays penetrate uncomplicatedly. His hearing picks up the singing of birds, and he can't distinguish who is who.

By all related parameters, he found himself in the forest. And it's unlikely his friends did it. Nogitsune says they were brought here by the Nemeton. But where "here" was, I had yet to find out.

"It's a good thing I still have my clothes on, or it would be sad," Stiles said aloud and made another attempt to get up. But all he could do was squirm ridiculously on the dewy grass.

And even so, a warmth came over his heart. The odds of him getting up anytime soon just went up. Honestly, the guy wouldn't want to stay in this place forever. Alone with you-know-who. Brrrrr.

After ten minutes of desperate attempts to get up, he managed to do it. Stilinski's clothes were soiled with wet soil, but he didn't care about that.

"He exhaled as he got to his feet, leaning forward a little."

It seemed like what was so hard and complicated about just getting up? He wished Stiles knew the answer to that question. His body was not only relieved, but also extremely tired, accompanied by a nagging pain throughout his body.

"Listen, Foxy, why are you so quiet?" He asked the Evil Spirit wryly when he noticed that he had been silent for some time.

"You wished me to shut up, and I...followed orders," Nogitsune grumbled reluctantly, realizing that he just couldn't help but answer Scott's best friend's question.

"Before that, I also told you to shut up, but something didn't happen?" Confused, Stiles stretched out.

"As it turns out, those words weren't from the heart," Nogitsune replied vaguely.

Stiles thought about it for a second and seemed to realize something, but decided not to voice the thought out loud, but only said:

"I see, we'll figure it out later. Right now, let's get out of here."

"I'm all for it. These green kinds of serenity are getting to me. And by the way, for the future, talk to me in your thoughts, otherwise some people might misunderstand you," the Spirit in the guy's head answered again.

"You know, I suddenly wish you'd shut up again..." Stilinski said threateningly and with a touch of irritation. How had he not thought of that himself, it was elementary.

"Stiles, you'd better not..." Nogitsune was about to say something when the connection was cut off mercilessly.

"That's better, now let's start Operation Hollow Calling, that sounds good," Stiles grinned inwardly and looked around.

The forest. Forest. And again, the forest. Wooden giants stretched for hundreds of meters, blocking the view with their foliage and numbers.

"Well, now we'll find out which way is north," the sheriff's son muttered aloud and licked his index finger, holding it out in front of him, "Aha, that's where I'm going!" He smiled and headed north, at least it seemed that way to him.

His body was slowly returning to normal, and after about fifteen minutes of walking through the forest, Stiles felt quite alert. For someone whose body had been split into atoms in one world and then reassembled in another, but he didn't know it yet, he was in good spirits.

"Come on, skills of the sheriff's son, don't fail!" shouted the boy throughout the forest, causing the birds in the nearby trees to squawk and scatter.

It had been half an hour since he'd started, and he was so sick of the forest that he was ready to ask Nogitsune for help. If it weren't for one "But." Suddenly, on his right, about two hundred meters away, he heard a loud beeping sound coming from cars. Someone was hitting the klaxon mercilessly. And to tell the truth, Stiles was very grateful to that someone.

"That's better!" The boy exclaimed excitedly, and rushed in the direction where the car's klaxon had recently sounded.

He sped up, and without keeping his breathing pace, he ran frantically to where the highway was supposedly located. Several times almost tripping over the long-rotten trees under his feet, Stiles deftly maneuvering made a long jump and overcame another obstacle.

It didn't even occur to him that the average man couldn't run at such a speed, because his attention was focused on getting out of here.

There was a clearing about twenty meters ahead, and the light of headlights, for it was early morning.

"Yes! I did it," Stiles smiled broadly as he stepped to the side of the road. Few could understand his feelings right now, for not so many people were being carried by the mysterious tree to unknown places and for unknown reasons.

When he saw another car pass him, he moved in the same direction. Stilinski hoped that there was a town nearby, or at least something inhabited and connected.

Confused by the sentences? Honestly, me too! You and I are in the same circumstances and so let's prevail without pain and despair in our eyes, shall we?

Other than that, it's the same old, same old. Write comments - I'll respond to them. If you don't, I don't reply. Everything is elementary and simple.
