Kapitel 28: Unexpected Guests

Gu Xin Ye continued to ponder over Qin Zhan's relationship with everyone around them.

Previously, she had looked into Qin Zhan but she had not heard anything about that man being adopted into a family. Could it be that it was not registered?

This would explain why they could not find a lot of information on Qin Zhan during his stay in the orphanage.

Moreover, what with that cousin? He had a family but still had to grow up in the orphanage.

Her curiosity towards Qin Zhan peaked up. Gu Xin Ye wanted to know what was going on during Qin Zhan's childhood.

However, she did not have the courage to ask. The siblings might seem very close to Qin Zhan but Gu Xin Ye thought that they were too young to know about Qin Zhan's past.

Gu Xin Ye continued to scrub the pots in her hand before she looked up at the siblings again.

"Then what about your grandpa? Is he alright?" Her tone was soft as she spoke.

She had heard that Grandpa Chen had to leave Z Town due to his illness. However, after trying to find out more about Grandpa Chen through Auntie Li, Gu Xin Ye was unable to find out anything.

The siblings exchanged their gazes before they continued to do their work.

"A while ago, Grandpa called to say that he's recovering," Luo Jun said. "However, he did not say when he would be returning to this town."

Gu Xin Ye saw that the siblings' mood was not that good and thought that she should not ask them about this matter.

It was then that she seemed to recall that she has been staying in Z Town for a week but she had not seen the siblings' parents. From what she knew, it was Qin Zhan who was looking after both Luo Qi and Luo Jun.

Gu Xin Ye was in deep thought as she pondered about the siblings. Just then, Qin Zhan returned to the stall and swept his gaze at the three helpers.

Seeing that they had not done cleaning up, Qin Zhan went to clean up the tables and chairs and placed them at the side.

"Sister, don't you think that little uncle's mood is a little strange today?" Luo Jun whispered.

The siblings shifted their gaze and peeked at their uncle secretly. Then, Luo Qi glanced at her surroundings secretly and spoke, "Last night, that person come over to meet Little Uncle again."

"That person?" Luo Jun pondered for a while and spoke. "The cousin?"

Luo Qi nodded. "Last night, I woke up to drink some water and saw Little Uncle and that man outside."

Gu Xin Ye's ears perked up, sensing an upcoming gossip. She knew this cousin and thought that the last time she had seen him was in the west part of the town. Qin Zhan and this cousin were seen together in front of the hotel.

Hearing that Qin Zhan and this cousin had met again in the middle of the night, Gu Xin Ye's mind started to run wild.

However, her expression began to change the moment Gu Xin Ye heard Luo Qi's next sentences.

"It seemed that the two were fighting." Luo Qi tried her best to lower her vice but Gu Xin Ye could still hear her words loud and clear. "I couldn't hear much but the two of them were shouting at each other."

What's this? Trouble in paradise?

The space between her brow furrowed as Gu Xin Ye pondered about the man's relationship.

A shadow looming over them and the siblings shut their mouths and work faster to clean up everything.

Gu Xin Ye raised her head and met Qin Zhan's gaze. Her throat bobbed as fear crept into her.

Qin Zhan lifted a few plastic chairs and put them down on the corner with a loud noise.

It seemed that he was really in a bad mood.

Gu Xin Ye could not help but thought that Qin Zhan would appear very scary. Especially while they were at the noodle stall.

It was then that she seemed to recall that there was a rumor about Qin Zhan in the F&B industry. It was said that Qin Zhan was a hot-tempered man whenever he was at work.

Then, there were also rumors that the commis under the pastry department in the Orchid Hotel would not last for more than two months because they could not stand Qin Zhan's attitude. The man liked to curse and scold people a lot.

Gu Xin Ye had probably experienced this when she had seen Qin Zhan chasing out the group of people who tried to poach him.

This man could create the most delicate desserts but his attitude was too rough.

The surroundings turned quiet and the siblings did not say a word and continued to scrub the pots and pans.

After a while, an old motorcycle stopped by at the noodle stall followed by an SUV.

Luo Qi stood up, wanting to tell these customers that they were out of food when she recognized the person on the motorcycle. Her eyes lit up as she called, "Uncle Li!"

Gu Xin Ye followed her gaze and watched as Li Jun Xuan get off his motorcycle.

"Why are you here?" Qin Zhan asked. Although he still had that unhappy look on his face, his tone while talking to Li Jun Xuan was friendlier.

"Someone is here to see you." Li Jun Xuan flashed a mysterious smile before he shifted his gaze towards the SUV parked behind his motorcycle.

Gu Xin Ye followed everyone's gaze and looked at the SUV. Soon, the driver's door swung open and a pair of long legs appeared.

Gu Xin Ye stared at this man for a long time, thinking that she had seen him before.

The tall and handsome man walked around the vehicle and helped to open the backseat's door. Soon, a woman came out, holding a fat baby in her arms. Then, a little girl with her hair tied into twin tails followed them.

Gu Xin Ye looked at the family of four and realized that she knew this man.

Mo Cheng Feng, the president of MH Group which was based in L City.

"Qian Lin?"

Hearing Qin Zhan's voice, Gu Xin Ye followed his gaze and saw that he was looking at the woman who was carrying a baby in her arms.

Gu Xin Ye tilted her head to one side as she tried to figure out what was going on.

It seemed that they know each other?
