Kapitel 9: Deal

[In the Car]

While Martin took the passenger seat with Mike, Damien and Angella were seated at the back together.

There was an unexplainable awkward vibe in the car which was quite suffocating and icky.

Martin looked at his boss through the side view mirror only to find him looking outside the window with a huge grin on his face. Not only did he find it strange but it also made him feel very curious.

Why was he suddenly smiling so much? Was the reason the woman sitting beside him or something else was going on his mind?

"Mr. Anderson, where should I drop you?" Mike broke the awkward silence.

"My office," Damien answered. "It's too early to go home I suppose," he said as he looked at Angella.

Angella frowned and continued to ignore him.

Martin and Mike looked at each other and smiled. Their conversation was also limited to that.

After driving for almost twenty minutes, they arrived outside Anderson Enterprise.

"Please inform Mr. Becker that I am expecting a positive phone call from him soon," Damien told Mike before stepping out of the car

Martin also deboarded the car after thanking Mike and Angella.

"What phone call is he talking about?" Angella inquired. "Do we offer a deal to the Anderson's?"

"Not exactly,they offered us a deal," Mike answered. "It is a very enticing deal actually."

"Really?" Angella was quite surprised. It's not everyday that a company as big as them approaches a company. "The deal must be quite profitable then."

"Yes, but only for us." He hesitated for a while before explaining further, "You know how we still have the Fredricks as our suppliers?"

She nodded. She was also aware of the fact that her father had been trying to replace them since her separation with Logan.

Angella didn't mind then keeping their business with the Fredricks. She didn't want the events of their personal life to affect their professional life or business.

"Damien Anderson offered us a deal which will double our profit margin," Mike exclaimed. He was still shocked and surprised with the numbers the Andersons had to offer.

"But why?" Angella frowned. She didn't understand why a business man like Damien Anderson would voluntarily suffer a loss.

He shrugged in response. "Only Damien Andersons knows why."

"What does dad have to say in this?" She asked.

"Boss was confused but I think we will move forward with the deal."

Angella did not say anything. She wasn't much involved in the company as she was away for too long. She did have a position in the company but she wasn't planning to join anytime soon.

"Angella, can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"Do you and Damien Anderson know each other?" Mike asked.

"Why do you ask?"

"I don't know," he shrugged. "I noticed some tension between you two so I thought—"

"No, I don't know him," she interrupted him.

"Then maybe you can try getting to know him." When Angella frowned, Mike further elaborated, "You are single and he is super single, handsome and f*ucking rich."

She rolled her eyes at him while he grinned from ear to ear.

"You both will look so cute together and imagine how beautiful your kids will be. I mean—"

"Oh my God, we sat together for a twenty minute car ride and you are talking about kids?" Angella sighed and helplessly shook her head. "You are unbelievable."

"What? I am just watching out for you girl."

She was about to say something when a phone call interrupted her.

Instead of answering the phone, Angella kept staring at the screen.

Noticing the change in her e

xpression, Mike asked, "What happened? Who is it?"

"It's Ruby."
