Kapitel 38: I am yours now

Chris's first aunt, Hannah, couldn't resist a tease as she commented, "Chris, you always have a joke up your sleeve."

But Chris, with a hint of seriousness in his tone, responded, "I'm not joking, Aunt Hannah. It's time for me to be more serious. Everyone has trouble with my fun activities. So, it's the time I should do what my wonderful family wants for me."

Arthur couldn't contain his joy as he heard these words, feeling a deep sense of happiness at his grandson's determination to change for the better.

"Well, the dinner is over, so we will be the first ones to take our leave," Chris asserted and gazed at Suzy. He pulled her up by holding her hand and bade goodbye to his grandfather. He ignored everyone's presence in the hall as he turned to leave with Suzy. 

As Chris and Suzy reached the foyer of the grand mansion, Suzy couldn't help but seek clarification. "Were you serious about what you said earlier?" she asked curiously.
