"Novalie, did you know about Gwen's powers?" Zoya looked at her suspiciously. Gwen was a powerful witch and she had hidden her powers too well for anybody else to find out about her. However, Novalie was a powerful witch too and she was the strongest one alive. It was impossible for her to not find out how powerful the young girl was. 

"No, Zoya. I did not know about her, not until recently." Novalie did not hide the truth from them. 

"Recently? Did you know about her? Why didn't you inform us?" Zoya's words ignited a sense of fury in the other witches and they stepped closer to the old woman who remained calm even in the situation she was in.

"Yes, Novalie. Why didn't you alert us about her? We could have saved ourselves from being tricked by her?" The other witches were now agitated and it was slowly turning chaotic.
