Riri almost fell from the chair he'd been sitting on. He gulped like there's a lump in his throat while widening his eyes to Cain. The knight remained calm and composed in front of him while observing his shock expression.

"Don't get me wrong, this is just a title..as a royal, such malicious issues should not taint the prince's name." Cain cleared his throat. "If you sign the contract, I will guarantee your safety," he added.

'How did everything end up like this?' Riri thought, wiping the sweat from his forehead while fidgeting with his fingers. Bothered by his own reaction, he stared at Prince Elric, but he got more surprised. The Prince was calm, not like him.
