The last two words seemed like someone was pulling his teeth.

“It’s okay.Can I finish now?”Dallas asked,holding up the roll of bandage.

“Yeah,sure.I’ll go make coffee,”Maxim said and quickly slipped out of the room.

Mikael was about to open his mouth when Dallas shook his head at him.“Don’t bother.I know big cats.We get territorial about our mates.”

Mikael smiled,and they both stayed quiet until Dallas was done.Mikael gathered the trash and tossed it into his trashcan,while Dallas took the kit back to the cabinet.

Noah stepped inside while he was organizing what he had disturbed while getting the kit.

“What’s wrong?”Noah’s tone was full of worry as he stood next to Dallas and peeked into the cabinet.

“Nothing,just a little cut on Mikael’s hand.It’s not bad,and I already took care of it,”Dallas assured him,and the tension left Noah slowly.

“Good,I’m glad you’re here,”Noah said,glancing at Dallas quickly.

Somehow Dallas knew it wasn’t just because of his skills in healthcare.
