While he did that, Alix retrieved Majesty and carried him firmly in her hands. If the cat continued going, it could slice off Zijia's legs with its claws. 

Since she didn't know Majesty's limits, she figured that it was better not to risk anything.

More Tai's poured into the room, more than the people Tai Fong had told Jiaan to call. Their uncles, aunts, a few of the brother's wives and even the youngest brother Tai Wong came. 

Tai Fong couldn't hold it in as the room was unnecessarily filled up and when he saw Zhang Caishen, his jaw dropped.
