Kapitel 58: Stay at home husband

"Hey, Dad," Cj calls out while eating dinner.

"Yes?"

"You're not touching your food, you're just smiling there. It's scary." Cj said as he drinks milk.

Even though Sheen didn't talk to him until they arrived at the condominium, his heart still won't take a break from getting excited every time he remembers Sheen singing earlier.

"Dan is right, you look stupid when you're in love."

Clark looks at Cj with a sharp look.

"Well, he texted me this morning. He said that you will act weirdly for the following days until you'll have the person you love. Anyways, who is it? Is it a golddigger?" Cj didn't even look at his father and continued eating.

Clark flinched, "How can you call her a gold digger, and you know who it is. Stop talking when your mouth is full," he took his spoon and started eating.

He didn't have lunch and he should have dinner at least or else his stomach will hurt again.

"Oh. My mouth is only half full. Is it... uh.... who is it?" Cj asks, faking that he does not have a clue since he wants to hear it from his father.

It's obvious since day 1, even before Sheen arrived.

Cj already feels like he loves his childhood friend when he talks about her sometimes.

Clark suddenly chokes when he was about to say her name, he suddenly felt embarrassed. It feels like he's doing a confession.

"Oh, I will send Sheen's photos to Kady and Wyn," Cj smirks as he goes down of the chair.

He wants to see what his father will say or how he will react.

Will he be jealous?

Will he stop him?

"Send the most beautiful ones. So that they know they will never have such a blessing," Clark said in a straight tone.

But his face is beaming with pride like he already has that blessing.

Cj just laughs and went to his room.

He didn't expect his father to let him send the most beautiful ones.

But the moment he opened the file where he put all the photos, every photo of Sheen's nowhere to be found.

It only has group photos and other peoples' photos.

"DAD!" Cj screams.

It was Clark who first took a look at the photos the night they arrived from the wedding and since then, Cj hadn't check it out.

He just heard his father laugh maniacally outside.

It made him feel shivers and fear, "You should like you just killed your nemesis."

"What? I told you, send them the most beautiful ones. It doesn't have to be a picture where there's only Sheen, right?"

Clark suddenly appeared in front of Cj's door, surprising him.

"Well, I had a talk with Wyn. I asked him to take pictures since I am part of the ceremony. If I don't do what we talked about, it will destroy my name. And you said that we should keep our words, right, Dad?" Cj smiles irritatedly.

'How can my Dad be more childish than I am?' Cj thought.

Clark looks surprised and nods, 'I raised him well,' he thought and went to get the flash drive where he put Sheen's photos compiled.

"Where is it?" He thought as he opens his drawers and looks around his room.

"What is it? Why did you leave?" Cj asks.

Since his father just suddenly went away, he thought he's going to give him Sheen's photos but he's taking too long.

He saw his father's room, messed up, everything is open - cabinets, drawers, bathroom door.

His pillows are on the floor as well as his blanket.

"What?" Cj asks while yawning.

Clark looks messed up as well.

"I gave it to her earlier!" Clark whispered with great embarrassment all over his face.

"What?" Cj asks as he put the pillows back on the bed.

"The flash drive where I put all her photos. I didn't know what to do that time as an excuse so I took whatever with me as a cover and I gave the black flash drive!"

Clarks sits on his bed while pulling his hair.

"Message her then. Tell her not to open the flash drive. That it's a private one. That you gave the wrong one. Mommy will not open things she's not told to open," Cj yawns again and curls on the bed.

"What if she already opened it?"

"Then hurry because she might be opening it now. But if she already did, then just tell her that Wyn wants to have it and you were going to give it to him. Let Wyn handle the problem."

Clark looks at Cj, "You're so mischievous," Clark whispered and pulled the blanket and covered Cj.

He leaned and kissed Cj's head, "Good night."

"You should always be in love, Dad. It's good when you're clingy," Cj whispers with a smile.

Ever since the incident, Clark tries to always check on Cj every hour and from then on, Clark lets him sleep with him.

Cj's not used to attention from his father, but it didn't feel weird since Sheen's been giving attention to him ever since they met that it made him feel like he just has normal parent attention.

If it was only his dad, it might be weird.

Clark took his phone and sent a message to Sheen.

Her phone rings as she closes every window on her laptop.

She ejected the black flash drive and put it on her bag.

"Oh, he said I shouldn't open it. But..."

Her face's color will someday become red forever with what Clark is doing.

Her shaky hands type the words for her reply.

Her phone screen shows the messages:

Clarksyyy: Good evening, Sheen. I'm sorry I gave you the wrong flash drive earlier. Please don't open that. It contains private files. Thank you and good night. Sweet dreams.

Sheen: Oh, I see. Okay! I was planning to open it now, glad you messaged me before I did that. Good night too. Sleep tight, don't let Cj bite!

She sent the message and went to her bed.

She tries not to overthink why the flash drive has tons of her photos.

The flash drive has two files, one named 'Fils'- it contains Cj's photos starting from when he was a baby and the other which contains her photos at the wedding which is named 'Ma chérie.'

"Fils means son in French, while Ma chérie means... I should sleep. Pretend you didn't see anything."

Sheen turns off the light and went to her bed.

She cuddles her pillow with a smile.

While scrolling through her photos, she saw a picture where she is looking at Cha, it might be around where the Priests announced that they are husband and wife, while Clark was directly staring at her with a sweet smile.

As if he's the groom that just lawfully announced that she is his.

She copied it and saved it on her phone, her tablet, her laptop, and her flash drive.

She even printed it on a photo paper and hanged with other photos on her firefly lights on her headboard.

She just copied some of her photo as well as some of Cj's especially the ones where Clark's holding him when he was just a baby.

Even though she's not a real part of Clark's family, she somehow feels like she belongs.

And for now, it is enough.

"What do you mean I typed a wrong word?" Sheen asks on her phone.

Bea already finished half of the novel and she called Sheen early in the morning.

"Sheen, even Dan read it right. You really typed wrong. I mean, in the story but I know it's correct in real life."

"What is it?" Sheen took a sip of her coffee while waiting for the food to be cooked.

"Okay, page... uh, 128. On the third paragraph where the heroine declares her love before she disappears in front of the King."

Sheen ran to her room and opened her laptop.

"Okay, wait. I'll check."

She said as she opens the document of her novel.

"It said... Dan, come here! Let's read it together," Bea shouted and Sheen heard Dan cleared his throat.

Sheen bites her lips as she went to the page.

Somehow it makes her nervous.

What is it that Bea had to call her early in the morning that Dan even had to join.

It makes her feel like she's being teased.

"Okay... You there?" Bea asks.

"Yes, okay... Third?" Sheen went directly to the third paragraph.

And her eyes grew wide when she noticed what is wrong with it.

She stops breathing for a second while Bea and Dan read it in unison.

"My love, we may be two worlds apart. We may live in different times- different universe but my heart will never change. I will find you no matter what it takes. No matter how long it takes. I will see you again, we will be together and spend our lives until death takes us. So wait, wait for me. I love you more than the world can describe, Clark. I love you."

Bea and Dan laugh, "She's in love!" they both teased.

"Clark, I love you? What?" Sheen screamed and closed her laptop.

"Change it! I will change it!"

"Then, why not do it now? Why'd you close your laptop? It might get broken," Bea chuckles, "There's another one, honestly. It became more frequent in the last chapters."

"What?" Sheen opens her laptop again, "Where?"

"Page 150, first paragraph. You there?"

Sheen opens the 150th page and reads the first paragraph.

"Well, his name is Clark. He's kind, sweet, cheesy, confident- too confident if you ask me. He thinks that he's the most handsome in the whole universe since he's popular in both worlds. He's arrogant sometimes, especially when he's hungry."

Sheen facepalms and groans.

"Please, just message me what I need to change."

She stands up and went to the kitchen.

"You don't have to change him, you have to change the King's name to Clark and everything will be solved!" Bea said.

Sheen turned off the stove, she cooked Ginger Zucchini Breakfast Soup for today since it's raining and it's chilly.

"No way. Do you want Ginger Zucchini Breakfast Soup? I cooked a bit too much," Sheen put down her phone and put it on a loudspeaker to prepare the food.

"Yeah, why not! Just make sure it's hot."

"Have you told Dan about the baby?"

"Nope, I'll ask your King later," Bea suddenly lets out a weird laugh.

Sheen puffs her cheek but when she heard Bea's laugh, she can't help but laugh as well.

"What is that?" She asks.

"I don't know, side effect?" Bea laughs again.

"I'll bring you two the soup on your office so you don't have to go up."

"No, I said I'll ask your King about this... tiny human surprise," Bea whispered.

"He's not my King, okay. It was a typo. Anyways, see you later." Sheen turned off the call and put the soup on a container with the other breakfast.

She took her fluffy cream jacket, the one that Kady gave her since it's perfect for the weather today and went to Clark.

"I'll pretend I didn't see anything yesterday. That nothing happened. Everything will be normal today, so relax."

She buzzes the door and took a deep breath to relax.

Yet the one who opened the door sent her heart flying in the air.

Her lungs stop working.

Her eyes bulged out.

Her mouth slightly opened.

Her temperature shoots high as her face turn into tomato slowly.

Clark's standing on his loungewear, with her messed hair, sleepy face and husky voice.

"Good morning," he whispered.

Sheen looks away, "Good morning too."

Clark opened the door and she went inside.

Seems like Clark slept on the couch in the living room since the blanket is on the floor while there are papers on the center table.

Sheen put her jacket and bag on the couch, "Let me help you."

Clark suddenly took the food containers from her and took them on the kitchen.

She froze.

It's normal for Clark to help her.

But it somehow made her feel like her husband just help her with things after arriving from somewhere.

It's like he's staying at home husband while she's the one who works outside.

She cleared her throat and moves her jaw to stop from smiling.

But her heartbeat can't stop from beating abnormally.

Little did she knows, the sneaky son of theirs smiles on the balcony on his pajama with a camera on his hand.

'Ah, I love them soooooo much,' he said and went back to his room.
