Kapitel 88: Drunk, Wild, and Sad

"Sheen, where are you?" Bea walks back and forth on her apartment.

She can't call Sheen since she left her phone on the sofa.

She can't even call Clark because it will cause a ruckus.

"Who should I..." Bea taps her foot as she thinks of someone who can help her until she thought of someone.

"Kady!" She exclaimed and dialed Kady's number.

"What? Okay, I think I know where she might be," Kady said and closes his laptop and wore a thick jacket, "Is she wearing a jacket?"

"No. She left wearing pajamas only." Bea answered.

Kady took a jacket and a scarf and left, "I'll call you when I see her."

He drove his car to a beverage shop and saw Sheen sipping a coffee with liquor on her table.

He went inside and calls Bea to let her know he found Sheen.

Sheen poured the liquor on her coffee and drinks it.

She's already red and her eyes seemed to be fuzzy already.

Kady snorted, last time she saw Sheen be in this state was when she wanted to forget about her confession to her.

"Hey," Kady called and sits with her.

Sheen squinted her eyes, "Kady?" she whispered and suddenly bawls to his hand.

"I miss you!" she cried, "I wanted to see you for a long time! I was waiting for you!"

Kady laughs and called the waiter to take the liquor away from her and ordered a tea.

He pats her head as she rests on his hand.

"You missed me?" He asks, trying to get more about it.

"Yeah," she sniffs, "You just left. And I was alone. Blue's always around but he gets interested in other things... I miss you."

Kady sighs, knowing that he will always be a piece of her past and not her present.

"What about Clark? Don't you want to see him?"

"No. He's tired and a lot of things are happening right now. I don't want to bother him."

"What happened?" He asks as his tea arrives.

"Wyn... he's a jerk."

"Why?" Kady took a sip and pats Sheen to drink as well.

Sheen raised her head and took a sip, "Ekk! This flavor sucks, why do you like that?"

"Because it's healthy. You know even if things seem to be bad, if it will cause a greater good, why hate it?"

Sheen pouts, "You mean... I shouldn't hate Wyn?"

"Why? What happened?"

"He... ugh, nothing. By the way... Kady," Sheen rests her head on the table, "Why do people hate Clark? Do you hate him?"

Kady looks down of Sheen and smiled, "I... don't like him but I don't hate him. I see him as a business icon and your fiance. I expect him to do good and have a clean profile to the public since it's the thing that is needed to be successful. And as your fiancee, I want him to make you happy."

"So?" Sheen asks as her eyes start to close.

"If he fails to be in my expectations, I will dislike him. Hate is a strong word and as a writer, I know you know that."

"Uh-huh," Sheen agrees.

"Will Wyn still make your movie?" Kady asks as he finishes his tea.

Most of the people are already leaving and the staffs are starting to clean the place.

"I don't know... but I hope he does. I want to see it." Sheen said before drifting into sleep.

Kady stands up and covered her with the jacket and puts the scarf around her neck and carried her to his car.

"You're still confused as usual," Kady whispers and drives to Bea's apartment.

"Thank you, Kady... I didn't know who to call so... sorry for bothering you," Bea said as he leads Kady to the bedroom.

"If it's Sheen, don't hesitate to call me," Kady replied and put Sheen on the bed, "What happened?"

Bea looks away, hesitating to tell him.

Kady brushes Sheen's hair off her face, "Don't worry, you know me. I don't do anything to help. I will just make things worse if I do."

Bea leans on the wall, "No, you don't. You know, after you left, Sheen gathered her courage and left out relatives. You sparked something in her to leave and... well, follow you."

Kady sits on the bed beside Sheen, staring at her, admiring something that he will never have, relishing the moment that might never happen again.

"I hate you because you hurt her. But guess what, you're the only one who made her get through the things that happened to her. She stayed strong to be by your side, you're the silver lining in her life. You're... how did she describe you in her poems..." Bea taps her feet to try and remember the poems Sheen wrote about Kady.

Kady looks at Bea, shocked, "Poems?"

"Yeah, and guess what? She started writing stories because she wants to make her imaginations with you come true. Though it's not close about you two, she always sees her characters as herself and you. It's always about you," Bea went to lay beside Sheen.

Kady leans and kisses Sheen's forehead with his eyes closed, feeling her breath on his neck.

"Ah, I know," Bea remembered, "She said you're the escape that helped her breath. It's a bit weird, I can't even understand it that much... but seems like, you're someone Clark won't replace."

Kady looks at Bea, "Did she really loved me that much?"

"Yeah, and it's unhealthy because that time you're nowhere to be found." Bea pulled the blanket over, "Honestly," Bea laughs, "She still writes about you unconciously."

"What do you mean?"

"You know the King? In her recent story?"

Kady nodded.

"You're exactly who he is when he's in the girl's world. Kind of cold, and cheeky but he's someone who made the girl live through her conflicts. He left, thinking that it will save the girl but she just followed him. And the King in his world is Clark. Mature. Confident. Independent. They are different but she needed them both to make her realize things."

Kady laughs and stands up, taking the scarf and jacket, "The last thing I want is to destroy her relationship with Clark. I am happy as long as she is happy." He walks towards the door, turning off the lights, "Goodnight, Sheen. Goodnight, Bea."

He rode his car but he just stared at the road.

He turned on the radio and a slow sad song comes playing, strumming his broken heart stings.

He punches the steering wheel while grinding his teeth, even after all this time, he still regretted leaving Sheen behind.

He took a deep breath as he feels a cold painful thing stuck in his chest.

His tears slowly stream down and he can't help but let out all the sobs.

How can he be happy when he sacrificed his happiness for hers before, but ending up losing her?

How can he be happy, knowing that no one can make her feel happy like he can?

How can he be happy after knowing things that he shouldn't have learned?

How can he be happy after knowing he's part of who Sheen is, someone who made her the way she is now?

He gritted his teeth and punches the steering wheel once again, his nerves popping out of his head and neck.

"GAHH!!" He let out a painful scream with tears in his eyes.

He doesn't want to destroy Sheen's relationship with Clark since he knows he can make her happy.

But...

He loves Sheen so much that he has to bear being away from her to save her.

Can anyone else do that for her?

He turned the engine on and drove home, his mind still full of questions.

Bea saw a news pop on her screen before she turns it off to sleep.

Sheen's name caught her attention and decided to open it.

"MR. WHITE'S FIANCEE, THE WRITER, SHEEN, SEEN WITH THEIR COMIC ARTIST, LOUIS VOUTREIS ON A COFFEE SHOP. WILL THIS AFFAIR AFFECT THE LOVEBIRDS OF STAR COMPANY?"

Bea gets up hurriedly and went out to call her Boss.

But he won't pick up.

"Is he asleep?" she asks and texted Dan.

Dan called her after a few minutes, "Sheen has to clear herself. I haven't talked to Boss but this will affect the image of Star Company."

"What are you saying? She's just talking with him about comics, see the pictures?"

"Yes, and Sheen drew Louis. This can mean a lot of things to people who don't know Sheen and Louis personally."

"Dan, tell me, what is happening with Wyn? I know you're hiding something."

Dan went silent for a while, "I'll be there around 3 A.M. Let's meet at the restaurant, okay?"

"Fine. But Sheen won't do anything. She doesn't have to clear her name or the company's name."

"I know you care about your cousin, Bea. But this... whatever's happening, this issue can corrupt the company. You know that office romance is already a taboo in a company."

"What?"

"I mean... Bea..."

"You know what, let's talk later."

Bea cut the call off and went back to sleep, without noticing that Sheen's awake.

After a few more hours, Bea woke up to meet up with Dan but she got nervous without Sheen by her side.

She opened the door and saw a note, saying that Sheen went back to her condo.

"Louis...." Sheen mumbles while knocking on Louis door. "Lou.....is..."

Louis opened the door and saw Sheen sitting in front of his door, drunk.

"Hey!" Louis called and pulled Sheen inside his apartment, "What the fck?" he checks if someone's outside before closing the door.

Sheen pulls her hand, "They said we're together!"

"Are you drunk?" Louis asks and helps her to sit down and poured her a glass of water.

"No!" Sheen yelled.

Louis leaned and sniffs her, "You are."

"They posted something about us, I can't read it though... do you know anything about it?" Sheen asks as she rests her head on the armchair.

"No," Louis sits down, "I promise. But she already told me that she'll ruin your relationship with Clark to even worsen the damage."

"Who?" Sheen asks.

"Aria."

"What?" Sheen gets up, shocked.

"You're really drunk. You know what," Louis pulls Sheen to stand, "Coming here will just worsen things. What if they followed you?"

"This is sick, why would they follow a disgrace to the family?" Sheen started crying, making Louis facepalm.

He checks on her pockets if she brought her phone.

"Who should I call to pick you up? Not Wyn or Mr. White." Louis asks as he browses by her phonebook.

"Not Wyn. Not Clark. Not Blue because he's with Elgeen. Not Dan because he's somewhere else. Not Bea because she's sleeping. Not Cj because he can't go here. Not Mr. Rogers because... he's working for Clark... " Sheen put her hand on her chin, trying to think.

"What about Kady?" Louis asks, "Is this the president of--"

"Yeah! Kady just picked me up earlier."

"You mean you went out earlier?" Louis sighs and dials Kady's number.

Sheen walks around Louis room, looking through his awards and arts.

"Hey, this is Louis. Sheen's in my apartment, can you get her? I don't want to be included in another issue. And tie her in a chair, she's dangerous when drunk."

Louis went straight to the point.

"What? Where?" Kady asks and puts down his shot glass and went outside of the bar and rode his car.

"Strawberry House, room number 13. Can you hurry up? She's making a mess, hey! Don't touch that!" Louis screamed as he pulls a trophy out of Sheen's hand.

"Yes, please take care."

"What? What do you mean?" Louis asks but Kady already cut the call.

"Ohh, what is this?" Sheen asks while standing on a table, reaching for a picture frame.

Kady sighs and went full speed, knowing Sheen when drunk, she's clumsy and is not afraid to be hurt doing things that pop in her mind.

"Get down here," Louis asks while looking at Sheen who's sitting on top of a cabinet.

"Nope, you know what? This isn't high enough to die." Sheen said and lays on her back.

Her words made Louis froze.

"What do you mean?" Louis asks.

"I used to climb on top of buildings... in our school, in our house... in Kady's company... because I want to jump and... die."

"Why?" Louis sits down on a chair Sheen dragged to climbed the cabinet.

"Because... I'm tired. Like right now, but I don't why I am saying this. Have you ever thought of killing yourself?" Sheen asks while poking the ceiling.

"No. Why would I? I know, life is hard but I won't do that. Are you nuts?" Louis said and watches Sheen turn around to look at him.

"Then you've never been this sad," Sheen said and closed her eyes.

"What? What makes you think I've never been in your kind of sad? Just because I never wanted to kill myself doesn't mean that I've never been that sad."

Sheen snorted, "Whatever, Louis. Keep quiet, I want to sleep."

"How can you sleep on top of the cabinet?"

Louis suddenly heard a knock on the door, he hurriedly opened it and ran to check on Sheen again.

"Where is... oh," Kady looks around and saw Sheen, he sighs and screamed, "WAKE UP YOU LITTLE RASCAL!"

Sheen tries to get up but bumped into the ceiling, making Louis and Kady look away from feeling the pain she felt.

"Ow, what the hell..." Sheen said and tries to climb down.

Louis hurriedly put the chair for her to step on.

"Sorry about his," Kady said and helped Sheen go down.

"Don't worry. Have you seen the news? That's me, I was only talking to Sheen that time. Promise." Louis said with a frown.

"Who made that hoax?" Kady asks as he carries Sheen on his back.

Louis looks at Sheen, he suddenly felt guilty.

"Aria. Mr. White's sister," Louis said and sighed.

Kady clicked his tongue, 'I knew it, Sheen's not safe in this place.'

"I promise, I will help you guys clear the company and Sheen's name."

"No worries, I know you will. You have no choice. Anyways, I'll pay for the things Sheen destroyed, just send me the amount."

"No," Louis shake his head, "She didn't break anything. She did make a mess but... all she did was ask what are the things she's holding, why I treasure them and such."

Kady sighed, "I'll bring her home. Don't tell Clark about me and if you do, I'll break everything here." he said and threw a sharp look at Louis.

Louis nodded, "I don't want to get involved in your problems anymore. I quit. As long as I draw comics I'm good."

Kady nodded, "Good."
