Kapitel 5: The first Day for the JP's
Forager team 1
"Sora-chan tell us to get some edible plants but," Azki said while looking at the forest
"Which one of them is edible?" Matsuri said looking at the large variety of plants that filled the forest with greens.
"Hey isn't that?" Aqua said while pointing at one of the plants
"That's burdock plants. It is edible but it's rather bitter so we need to boil it a few times to remove the bitterness of it" Haachama said while walking towards the plant.
She then begins to collect the leaves and even the stalks of it.
"You can eat the stalks?" Ask Azki while helping her collect the leaves.
"Yup. Though you need to peel it first and then you can eat it raw or maybe boil it if you want to make it easier to eat" Haachama said
"Wow, you sure do know a lot Haato san" Azki said, and Haachama Flinched at what the girl called her.
"Y-yeah I guess? I like to cook so sometime I will read about what kind of plants can i eat in the wild. You know just for fun. And this plant is not that rare either. It's supposed to be all over Japan so all of the locals should know about this" Haachama said.
"Yeah maybe for the locals. But we are city girls so it's rare for us to know stuff like this." Matsuri said while helping her pick up the leaves
and after that, all of the girls begin to collect the whole plant.
"Don't take all of it. Leave a few of them so the plant can grow back and we can harvest it again later" Haachama said and they all nodded.
But when they have finished collecting the leaves and stalks. They are presented with a new problem.
"How are we gonna carry this?" Aqua said. They have no basket or anything to carry the leaves and stalks with them. because god did not give them anything but their clothes and body
And with that realization. Matsuri decides to use the only resources they have.
She takes off her jacket and put it on the ground. "Wait Matsuri-chan!" The girls look at her as if she is crazy because her jacket is really nice and it will be ruined if she uses it to carry these plants. There will be saps all over it
But Matsuri has decided that food is more important than a mere jacket so she proceeds to put the leaves and stalks on top of her jacket and pick it up.
"Um. You know.... we could have just used one of those Giant leaves from that tree" Haachama said while pointing at a tree with leaves that are around 4 feet long and 2 feet wide. (It's a banana leaf. Also, I know bananas used to have a lot of giant seeds on their fruit and it's through a lot of selective breeding by humans that it manage to produce modern banana fruits. But I am gonna bullshit my way through it and say that god already makes any fruit the same as all of the modern fruits)
Matsuri look at the giant leaves while holding her jacket in her hands with a shocked expression and her mouth open
"Why didn't you say that sooner!?" she exclaimed as she dropped all the leaves and stems on the ground, then began frantically waving her jacket to try to remove the dirt.
The girls giggled at her miss fortune and they help her to clean it as well.
"Ugh, it's full of saps," Matsuri said while looking at her ruined jacket.
"There there. It's okay Matsuri chan. We can wash that later" Azki said while petting her head
"Alright. Maybe we should help to get a few fruits as well? There are already a few ripes bananas there" Hachama said trying to steer the conversation away from Matsuri's ruined jacket
"*Sigh, alright. Let's take some of the fruits and the leaves as well. That may be useful for later" Matsuri decide that her Jacket can still be washed later so she just put it on her shoulder and continue their task of finding food.
The 4 of them begin to approach the banana Tree and it looks like there is a lot of them in this area and there is at least 3 fully ripe banana batch on the trees.
They pick up the bananas and the leaves. Each girl carries one banana batch and Aqua carries the leaves.
When all of a sudden.
*Shrieeek!* Something screech at them and when they see it. It turns out to be some kind of dinosaur. Not on the size of T-Rex but still pretty large. It's the size of a normal adult human
"Hiiii!" The girls shriek in fear as they close their eyes thinking that their new life will end much sooner than expected.
The dinosaur charge at them and they scream even louder while also preparing for their deaths.
*Boom!* From the sky something or someone dives directly at the dinosaur and punches it straight to its face
"Are you okay?" The one that falls from the sky asks the girl and they all look at their guardian angels with tearful eyes.
"Towa-chaaan!" The bunch of girls drop their foods and went to hug the angel that fall from the sky (I can just see some normie people that did not know who Towa is getting confused as to why I call her an angel)
Towa being a devil herself is not very used to this kind of affection so she is rather confused about what should she do when she is suddenly getting hugged by a bunch of crying girls at once.
So she decides to just let them unpack their tears on her until they are satisfied
A few minutes after the girls finished crying at her chest
"Sorry Towa chan. And thank you for saving us." Haachama said.
"Yeah that was scary," Matsuri said
"I thought I was gonna die," Aqua said
"Anyway. Thank you for saving us Towa chan. Do you wanna have some bananas for snacks? Your protection job is gonna be boring when nothing happens so you might wanna eat something" Azki said offering some bananas to their hero to hopefully make her job easier
"Sure! I'll take three. Noel and Iroha might wanna have some" Azki nodded and take a batch of 9 bananas for the Devil.
"Here you go. Thank you again for saving us Towa chan!" Azki give the batch to the Devil and she flies away while waving at them

The Angel A.K.A Devil descended to the ground to meet with her teammate.
"Yooo. I got some food~" She offer her teammates the Bananas that she get from the other group
"Oh, that's great! I am getting kind of hungry myself" Noel said before taking one of the bananas
"Don't mind if I do" Iroha takes some as well.
The three of them then begin to eat the bananas while watching the Forager team do their Job.
"Hoisho!" Pekora said while pulling out a Giant Carrot from the ground.
"This world is amazing Peko! Look at this carrot!" She said while holding the one and a half feet tall carrot.
Korone and Okayu are picking up some Potatoes they found on the ground.
Some of the potatoes are small but that's okay. They can use the small one to make their farm later.
"No! That Mushroom is poisonous!" Koyori said to Subaru before the girl touch the red-colored mushroom.
"Eeek!" The tomboy girl pulls her hand back before she can touch the mushroom.
Sora is picking some berries from a bush. Koyori said it's okay but they need to be sure.
So she decides to feed one to her new pet!
She found a small Rabbit with a horn and white fur not too long ago. It's cute so she decides to keep it as a pet.
"Here you go Usa chan. Is this good?" She gives one of the berries to Usa chan and she sniffs it a few times before eating it.
It shows a happy expression while eating it so she thought that the berries is good
She continues picking the berries and putting them on the giant leaves that she uses as a basket
"Sora senpai! Is this enough?" Pekora ask their supposed leader (there is no voting or anything. They all just assumed that she is the leader)
"Yeah. I think we already have enough vegetables for everyone. We should head back now." Sora said and all the other girls stop picking the vegetables and begin to carry what they have gathered.
They walk to the guard team and Sora said.
"Towa chan. can you fly to the other team and tell them to head back to the base? We should have enough already" Towa nodded and brought out her wings and fly toward the Forager Team 1
"Alright, everyone! Let's head home!" Sora said to the girls and they all walked back home.
Unknown to them something is watching them with careful eyes

"That's the last of them!" Shion said before slumping back on her butt
The magicians are tasked to build a small earth canopy for all of the members to sleep in in case it's raining. (The canopy is just 4 earth pillars with a roof made of the earth as well. Nothing too fancy considering that they don't have enough mana to make something Nice)
"Ahhh~ my mana almost run out," Said Lamy while she also slumped back on her butt.
The magicians have found out that having their mana being less than 20% will make them extremely fatigued. It feels like they have just run a marathon!
"But this occasion is good for our magic training I guess. Look my magic has improved by ten" Aki said while opening her status

"Same as Aki senpai, my magic also improve by ten," Lamy said while closing her status
"Eeeeek?!" Shion open her status but something surprised her

"It improved by 40?!" She wonder why her status improved so fast.
"If we keep going at this rate then my magic will reach 500 in just 10 days! I will be the strongest human in the world!" Shion said with determination on her face, imagining how strong can she be if this keep going.
"Hey now. Let's not get our hopes too high. You will be more disappointed if it turns out to be false." Aki tried to suppress Shion's excitement because she would be the one hearing about her disappointment and sadness if things did not go as planned.
"Hahaha! You are jealous of my Amazingness! I will be stronger than you sooner!" Shion said in a bratty voice and a smug face, giving a few angry marks on Aki's face.
"Fine. Don't cry to me if it turns out to be false" Aki said before leaving the two magicians and going towards the forager team 3
Their job is to gather something that can be used as a bed. And also curtains for the canopy
The guard team will help them to put the curtains and bed while the forager team will be the one to run back and forth bringing more and more leaves to use
Their bed, it's just a bed-shaped earth that the magicians make. Of course, that doesn't provide the comfort of an actual bed but they have to make do with what they have. At least they won't be too dirty with a bunch of leaves as their cover
"We are back ~" Come the sound of Nenechi carrying another large batch of leaves with the other Forager team.
And soon enough all of the canopies have had a curtain and the bed is already covered with leaves.
"Alright. Now that the sleeping place is covered. let's continue the next one" said Aki
"Urggh" the sound of grumbling people are heard because they have just finished doing this. Now they need to make other things? Give them a break!
"Now now don't be like that. It's good now that we have a place to sleep in but what will happen if we don't have things to eat? Or do you want to eat raw food?" She asks the bunch of girls and they again let out a groan of frustration.
"Can't we make it later when the food already arrive? Maybe we all should take a break first before continuing to make the place to cook" Luna said and they agreed to her proposals.
"Alright. Fine, we'll make the cooking place later. They didn't tell us to make the cooking place anyway. But still, it's better if we make it before they arrive so. How about a 20-minute break?" Aki asked the girls and they accept her idea.
"Fuaaa~ it finally breaks time" Watame sits on the ground with the girls.
"Yeah. My legs hurt from going back and forth to the forest taking those leaves. It seriously such a pain~" Polka said
"Right? But I guess this is all necessary. It will suck if we have to sleep on the ground while it's raining" Marine said.
"I wonder if the hunting team gets enough food. Our group is kind of big after all" Flare said
"Well, I am sure they do. They have 2 Epic races after all" Choco said.
"Those girls are really lucky. If I know something like this would happen I would have made my avatar to be something stronger." Shion said.
"Well, we take what we can get I guess. At least this body is better than my original one. Look at this smooth skin!" Marine said while running her hand to her arms.
"Of course, you will say that baa san" Ayame said teasingly to the Pirate
"Oy!" She screams at the Oni and all the girls laugh.
After a few minutes of chatting (sorry. I tried. I tried to make an interesting conversation between girls but this is just too hard. So I am gonna skip it)
"We are back!" A sound is heard behind the chatting girls and they see the hunter team 2
"Sui-chan?! Are you all right!?" Miko look at the bloodied Suisei and try to cast a healing spell at her but nothing happened.
"It's okay Mikochi" Suisei put her hands on Mikochi's shoulder.
"This is not my blood." Miko looks at Suisei's lifeless eyes and feels the dread of all the souls that Suisei has freed from their body
"Sui-chan. You are scaring me" with Suisei's hand on her shoulder. She can do nothing but tremble in fear.
2 Girls are walking behind Suisei and one of them is pulling the bunch of animals they have hunted.
"Everyone! We got food!" Kanata said while dragging the dead animals with one hand
The girls get excited and begin to circle around the animals.
"How many are there?" Luna asked seeing the pile of dead animals.
"Around 20. We don't find that many animals in the north. Because of that big earthquake from before. Do you girls feel it?" Fubuki asked the girl and they all nodded
"Right?! What are those earthquakes anyway? Did something happened?" Flare ask the hunting team
"We don't know for sure but we did see a giant Dome of flame suddenly appear in the distance. And when we arrive there is nothing but a melted crater in there" Fubuki said recalling the Big Crater they found in the North (Maybe I will draw the maps for this forest. Could be fun)
"Do you think somebody made that?" Choco asked
"We don't know for sure but it doesn't look like a natural occurrence," Fubuki said
"I see. If that's the case then we must be extra careful if there is someone strong enough to make an earthquake like that in this forest. Do you see someone in there?" Asked Aki.
"Well we don't see anyone but Fubuki said she smell some blood on that crater, so it could be a fight or some sort," Kanata said. The girls nodded at her and make a mental note to not mess with anything they find on the north
"Anyway let's talk about that later. Now we gotta prepare these animals first. Let's go people! I am hungry!" Ayame said while taking some of the coyotes' corpses with her.
"Alright. Let's prepare this meat right away. Kanata chan can you bring those to that place? We are gonna turn that vacant spot into our cooking place" Aki said while pointing to some vacant land with nothing on it.
"Yes ma'am!" Kanata gives a salute and begins to drag the corpses once more.
"Shion chan. Are your mana already restored?" Aki asks the Magician girl.
"Let me check first," She said while opening her status board

"I already got a few of them. I can make some drying platform from the earth if that's what you're planning" Shion said
"Good. Alright then let's do that" Aki said and she together with Shion walked towards their cooking spot
They arrive at the vacant spot and Kanata is already there with Ayame.
"So what are your plans for this?" Shion asks Aki.
"Well, we need to hang these corpses upside down so we can get them and dry their blood. Any idea how?" Aki replied.
"Hmm." Shion begins to think about how can she make the most effective platform with less mana possible.
'we don't have ropes so we can't make a pulley system to hang them.... Maybe we can do that with magic instead?' Shion then begins to make the frame for drying.
The frame is just One pole supported by 2 poles to make a Square frame without the lower part.
On top of the frame is a handcuff kind of thing that can be altered with magic to hold the animal's legs. There is three pair of them on one frame.
"Aki san, can you levitate some of that coyotes and place their legs on those cuffs?" Aki nodded and do just that.
When the back legs are already in the right position, the cuffs immediately lock the animals up
"Alright, that's one step finished. Now we need to make some holes for those animals' blood to flow through" Aki said
Shion then begins to make a man-sized hole under the hanged animal
"That's one down. Are you sure you still have enough mana to make more Shion chan?" Aki asked Her and she opens up her status again

Shion did the math and see that he can make 3 more frame
"I can make 3 more frames. But after that I will only have 30 mana left so you need someone else with a much higher mana capacity than me" Shion said
"Oh! Can I try it? My mana is quite a lot you know?" Ayame suddenly said to the of them.
"I can also help if you teach me how to. Though I already use some of my mana I still have a lot more" Kanata also offers her help. Being one of the Epic race in the group she has more mana than most of them anyway
"Alright then. Here is how you do it" Shion then begin her magic lesson to the two girls and they listened carefully.

A few hours after the magic lesson they have finally made 15 Frames that can hold 45 Animals in one go.
The Forager team 1 And 2 had come back as well and they also help with preparing the meat.
When hunting team 3 comes back, all the girls get a good scare after looking at their catch
The hunter team 3 single-handedly brought more than one week's worth of food for the group.
That Give the Forager group more jobs than they can handle so they asked for extra help from the guards.
After 3 hours of constant skinning and cutting meats and drying them. They finally manage to get all of the meat from the animals
"But how are we gonna preserve all of this meat?" "Freeze!" When La'plus asked that question Lamy presented her solution by covering the whole pack of meats in ice
"Okay. How are we gonna take them out" Botan asked
"Figure it out yourself. I can't be the only one using my brain around here" Lamy replied and leave the group behind
So they begin to cook their food when Hunter Team 1 finally comes back.
"Hey, guys! We found some waterfall in that direction" Mio said while pointing in the East-north direction (I really need to start drawing the map)
"But since we have nothing to bring the water with we asked for some help!" as she said that someone descended from the sky with a giant ball of water above him
It was a man. The man has some kind of dragon wing on His back that he quickly retracts the moment he touches the ground
"Hi," The guy said and stunned them with his reaction

Hadest_1304 I am sorry everyone if this seems boring. i tried. i really tried to make an interesting scene but. there is nothing i can do.
how am i suppose to make an interesting scene about a bunch of girls collecting vegetables anyway? i give Sora a pet so there is something new. make some conflict with the dinosaur so there is a suspence. i give some foreshadowing to keep the reader guessing. what else can i do!? the topic is just so boring! i almost decide to just skip this part.
