Kapitel 4: Hunting

"Hi?" Akane said at the newly arrived girls

"Um. Hello, My name is Ookami mio. This is Roboco and Yozora Mel. Nice to meet you, Um Who are you if i may ask?" Mio said politely trying to ease the situation a bit.

"Ah? Oh i am akane. Takayama akane, pleasure to meet you too" Our Mc said. And Mio nodded at him.

Roboco and Mel are currently standing behind Mio in fear. Well Mel is. Roboco is trying to calm her down

"So uh.. What... are you doing here?" Akane said to the girls as he is currently very confused right now.

'This world is 5 times bigger than my last one. So the chance of me meeting these girls are almost nonexistant. If this is the works of the gods then i will say this. Thank you!' He thank the god for his amazing luck at meeting more of his idols.

"Um... We're trying to find a water source for our group. But if you already claimed this one, then we'll be on our way!" Mio said, trying to avoid any problems with him and also feeling quite afraid of this man.

Mainly because of the giant bear skin that are being hung from that tree.

'that thing is atleast 15 Feet tall. And judging from the packed meat and how he is alone then it is possible that he kill that thing single handedly' Mio thought after looking at her surrounding.

"No! No of course not. we can share this river together. I mean i don't have a group anyway so i don't need that much water" He immediatly try to stop the girls from leaving and offer them the river.

"Ah thank you! This river is the closest water source from our base after all so. It will really help us a lot if we can use it" Mio said to him while bowing a little showing her appreciation to him.

The two girls followed her gesture and bowed as well

"No it's okay, Don't worry about it. i mean it's not like i own this river anyway, so you girls can use it as much as you want." He said trying to humble himself up to these girls

'well technically since this is a new world. I can own this river if i want to but eh. Not worth it' He thought.

"I see. Once again thank you very much Akane san!" Mio said and they finally let go of their fear of this man.

They walk towards the river to test the water.

Mio and Roboco look at the crystall clear water flowing from the river. The water look so much different from the water that they used to drink in their last world.

Roboco scoop up the water with her hand and drink it

"Polution: 0,4% safety: very safe" Roboco suddenly said in a robot like voice after testing the water

"Roboco san?" Mio look at her surprised at what she just said

"Ah? Sorry!, i don't know what comes to me" Roboco said to the girls and her face are red from embarassment and her head are smoking.

"No no it's alright. I mean it's very relieving for us to know that the water is safe to drink" Mio said trying to calm the overheating girl.

Mel however. She keeps on eyeing the leftover blood that Akane have on the ground from drying the meat.

Akane look at Mel that are currently eyeing the blood with clear thirst on her eyes

"Sorry i don't have any fresh blood for you to drink." He said and Mel look at him with a flustered face

"N-no! I mean. It's not like i want to drink the blood anyway. It's just...! I am just...!" She is speechless trying to find the best excuse to explain her situation.

'what happend to me!? Why do i look at the blood like i want to drink it?! It's gross!' Mel thought trying to find a reason why she become like this.

Although the reason is already very clear.

"It's okay, I won't judge you. I mean, being in a new body like this can give your mind a wild ride sometimes. You might experience some sort of urges that you've never felt before because of your new race, and that's fine. That's normal." Akane said trying to reassure the girl that her thirst for blood is normal

Mio and Roboco by now are already looking at Mel trying to figure out why did she scream earlier and what they found out is that Mel apparently want to drink some blood? Isn't that normal? She is a vampire after all

"But still... it's gross," Mel muttered, lowering her head to avoid looking at her friends as she didn't want to see their disgusted faces.

But what she receive is a warm hugs from her friends

"Come on Mel san. It's alright if you sometime feel the need to drink some blood. It is in your nature after all. Nobody will judge you for it" Roboco said while hugging her

"Oh~ poor Mel-chan. It's okay it's okay." Mio just try to calm the girl down with her motherly attitude while patting her head

"Everyone" Mel is looking at her two friends with tear in her eyes thinking that she have the best friends in the world

"I am sorry to break this touching moment but um, If i may ask. How do you plan to take this water with you?" And at that question the girls realise that they have been severely unprepared for that problem

Hunter team 2

"Ummmm why did i have to become a hunter? I am just a normal human" Suisei said at the complete injustice that she experience right now

"It's okay Sui-chan. We need someone to pelt the corpse after we kill it and you are the who are not afraid of blood so. We need you Sui-chan" Kanata said to the blue haired girl

"But this sure is a surprise eh? Who knows we will be transported to a different world when we already mess up one world. Our god sure is generous right?" Kanata said again

"Yup. Honestly when i die i fell a big sense of regret from my life. Like i haven't really done anything usefull for everyone. But now i can fill that regret with hardwork in this new world!" Suisei said with star in her eyes with excitement of being alive once more

"Ugh. Can we not talk about dying please? I am still.... Not over it" Fubuki said remembering her own death.

A lot of people had the luxury of dying by a nuclear bomb. Those people died instantly without feeling that much pain, but she didn't get that luxury.

No her town was raided by the german army and she died with a bunch of holes on her body.

The feeling of blood slowly flowing out of the newly made hole on her body is still fresh on her mind

"Wait everyone. I smell something" Fubuki suddenly said and she begin to sniff the air.

"This smell like a living being. Maybe there is some animal for us to hunt" She then begin to follow the smell and it's getting closer and closer.

"This. Smell like a lot of thing. There must be a lot of animals there" Fubuki keep following the stench and when she finally the source of the smell she flinched.

"That's a pack of coyote. There must be atleast 15 of them. Are you sure you can deal with that Kanata chan?" Fubuki ask the brawn of the team because currently she is the strongest one of the group

"It's okay. Leave it to me" Kanata said with a determined face and she walk out of their hiding spot and to the pack of coyote

The pack of coyote instantly sees her and growl to intimidate her but she is too confident to be intimidated.

When intimidation does not work. One the coyote begin to charge at her intending to bite her head off.

Kanata square up preparing to punch the coyote as soon as it jumped at her.

And it did. It jumped at her with an opened mouth intending to bite her off

"UPPERCUT!" And Kanata dealt an outstanding uppercut right at the lower jaw of the jumping coyote.

That uppercut send the coyote flying a few metters in the air before it drop dead infront of it's friends.

"Ooo! Sasuga Kanata chan! So strong!" Fubuki look at the outstanding performance shown by Kanata right uppercut and clap her hands a few times with star on her eyes

"Hehehehe" Kanata look back her friends while smiling sheepishly while scratching the back of her head

But another coyote jumped at Kanata's back and Kanata did not sense those attack whatsoever.

when suddenly

*Swush!* A black blur tackled the Coyote to the ground and bite it's neck off

The blur turns out to be a girl with black hair, red eye, black clothes with a few red string and red ties

the black haired girl stand up from the coyote's corpse and everyone finally see who she is.

"Puh! Oy! Don't turn your back on the enemies! Do you want to die?!" The black hair and red eyed fox spit the coyotes neck to the ground and scold her friend

"Sorry! And thank you Kurokami san!" Kanata said to her transformed friend with helpless smile

"Don't mention it. Now we should finish of the othe-" she said while turning her head to the pack of coyotes. But the only thing she sees is a bunch massacred corpse

Near the corpse is Suisei with blood all over her body and some even reach her face.

In her hand there is a bloodied axe that looks like it has been uses to kill the coyotes

Suisei face looks menacing and her thirst for more blood send shiver to the other girls spine

"Where did she even get that axe?" Kurokami said Kanata

"I don't know but i am too scared to ask her" Kanata replied and they just keep looking at the blue haired girl continuing to massacre the leftover coyotes.

"Hahahahahahhaa!" Suisei laugh menacingly to the coyotes and they shiver in fear

Hunter team 3

"Poi" and another dear died without knowing what happend to it

"Eeeeek!" An antelope suddenly died with black mist surounding it ( A/N : i don't know how a dying antelope sound like (⁠;⁠;⁠;⁠・⁠_⁠・⁠)

"8!" A girl with an Orca hoodie said while carrying a horned rabits and throw it to the pile of dead animals

"12" The lioness drop down from the trees and begin to retrieve her game

"Urrgh... 10" A small demon with an oversized Horn said while dragging the antelope to the pile of dead animals.

A 2 hours later.

"I wiiiin!" The White lioness said with a happy face looking at her total score.

"Ugh not fair! I kill more animals than her!" The small demon protest to the Orca hoodied girl that are responsible to count their score.

"Well most of the animals she kills is a big one so it have more point than your small game" Chloe said to the small demon.

"Ahahaha sorry La'plus chan. Maybe you will win the next hunting game but for now. I am the winner" Botan said while petting the small demon head.

"Ugh. How much do we get anyway?" La'plus ask chloe and she look at her wooden tablet.

"Botan chan get 30 animals. with 18 deers, 5 wolves, And 7 foxes. With our decisions of making a small animals have 1 point and big animals get 3 points. she get the total number of 76 points."

"You get 45 animals with 10 deers. 5 antelopes. 15 Rabits, 10 chickens, and 5 squirrels. Why would you bring squirrels anyway? Who would want to eat squirrels?" Chloe ask the small Demon and her faces got flustered with Botan laughing in the background

"Somebody will okay! What if we have no more food and are very hungry huh?! They will eat a squirel if it's the only thing they have!" La'plus tried to justified her decisions but that only make Botan laugh even more

"Anyway your total point is 70. I am not counting the squirrels because you get no point for that. And even if you do you still need 2 more points to win" La'plus growl at the her and Botan finally calmed herself down.

"I got 20 animals with 10 Foxes 5 antelope and 5 rabits. Those big animals are very hard to catch so i only get a little" she said while sighing at her small loot.

Botan use magic to shoot all of the animals she can find. That's why she can get big animals so easily because she don't need to catch it. And with the magic bullet being launched without any explosion like a normal gun. The animal literally hear nothing before it dies

Laplus use curse to instantly kill the animals but she still need to go near it to cast the curse so Botan best her in term of speed. And the instant kill curse doesn't work on something stronger than half of her Power level. And with Botan constantly massacring any Big animals she find. The only thing left is a small game like rabits and antelopes.

Chloe got the shorter end of the stick because even if she is stronger than Botan physically. She doesn't have any ranged attack do she have to personally catch the animal herself.

Of course at first she try to learn botan magic bullet skill but her accuracy is too low to actually hit anything farther than 2 meters away from her so she only use it to hit the animal she is close with.

"Anyway, i think this should be enough for everyone right? I mean we already got almost 100 animals. It must have been enough for everyone right?" Botan said after calming herself.

"Yeah. But how would we bring all of this corpses to the base?" La'plus said while pointing at the big pile of dead animals.

Botan and Chloe look at her and La'plus know what that mean

"It's not fair!" La'plus said while walking behind Botan and Chloe with her arm flailing on her side.

Behind her is a bunch of dead animals Floating with magic

"You are the strongest between the three of us La'plus. And why would you complain anyway? It's not like you need to carry all of that with your own hands. You use magic" Chloe said to the girl with a teasing smile.

"And?! Just because i use magic do you think i am not tired?! My mana is almost run out you know!" She said to the teasing girl.

"Alright alright. We will help you, Hora see? I am helping" Botan said while taking 1 Deer from the Giant floating corpses and call it helping

"Oh i'll help as well" Chloe see what Botan is doing and decide to tease her small friend again by taking 2 rabits and call it helping.

"That doesn't help at all!" The small demon scream at her friends again and they all just laugh
