Reias, in its effort to promote Nature magic, sidelines any and all magical experiments to the point that researchers were scored and looked down upon.

But some people just refused to give up and performed their experiments in secret. Kidnapping children, destroying villages and even making test subjects themselves.

The people that created Blue would go any length to fulfill their dream. 

Zero Six. That was Blue's name and the only one he had until he was saved by Joshua who was mourning.

The experiment they were carrying out was to artificially create Nature magic and make it a person's main magic.

In order to achieve that, Blue couldn't count how many times he was drugged, sliced and dismantled.

At one point, he lost all of his emotions and it was only after a while did he suddenly find himself staying with Joshua.
