"May I have this dance?" he asked, his tone playful.

Elara smiled, her earlier nerves forgotten as she placed her hand in his. "You may."

As the song ended, Seraphina practically bounced up to them. "My turn!" she exclaimed, grabbing Jacob's hand and pulling him toward the center of the room.

Jacob laughed, caught off guard by her energy. "Alright, alright," he said, letting her lead him into the next dance.

"You're impossible to keep up with," Jacob teased as she twirled herself with dramatic flair.
