[Hope you like the gift I left behind.]
The moment Raon read the words left behind by Paige, his lips morphed into a smile—a smile that would terrify anyone who witnessed it. His body emanated a cold, chilling radiance that seemed to snuff out the life of anyone near him.
The ground beneath his feet fractured, while the paper and tracker in his hands turned to smithereens with the immense amount of force emanating from his body due to the pent-up rage bubbling within him.
"You want to play, huh?" Raon muttered in a low, cold voice as he closed his eyes before reopening them, and the entire frigid aura around him vanished without a trace.
"Two can play the game, Paige; two can play the game..." Raon mumbled in a low enough voice to escape even his own ears.
His next steps were immediate; without waiting for any sign, clue, or signal, Raon headed outside the building while covering his tracks.
A game is only fun when both sides play, no?
Enjoy it while it lasts, such moments won't come after the story enters its serious phase. Though, that's a bit far away.
Thanks for the Power Stones!
